    They posted an apartment at 2243 and I applied on 1/7/25. However on friday 1/10/25, after I signing the lease on 1/08/25 and paid the holding deposit and application fee, they contacted me to tell me they messed up the listing by not marking a box and that it will be "fully renovated "; the 2243 price did not reflect that that is was $115 dollars more. The community manager was off that week so someone else posted the lisiting they didnt do it right. They didnt want to finialize that contract and wanted one that reflected the new pricing. I said let me think about it and call back with some questions. I called back asking if the 115 increase included pet rent and was told yes it did. I asked what fully renovated meant and about the other options they mentioned. Based on the false information I was provided on saturday 10/11/25, I decided to continue with the different lease. I was told that day that I'd get a new lease by the end of the day. Well, I didnt recieve that new leasing information until January 17, 2025 by the community manager who was finally back in the office. There was a breakdown provided, and it did not reflect the lies I was told so I contacted them back on their email the same day. They answered on January 18, 2025 basically saiding opps we messed up the listing, and we're sorry you had a terrible experience with us. We understand if you don't want to continue your application with us. I contacted them on Monday January 20, 2025 saying i didn't want to continue with my application and this was all lies from the beginning and I wanted to know when I'd get my deposit back. On January 21, 2025, they are now telling me that they can not give me my $100 holding deposit back because it is 72 hours after paying.This has been a scam from the start. I just want my holding deposit back and I wouldn't have applied if I wasn't lied to. The deposit being refunded or not was never mentioned when the contacted about their mess up. I have all the emails.
