I contracted with Country Club Awning and Blind (CCA) to install a motorized shade that was to be installed before we left for Seattle on 12/8. They showed up on 12/8 and installed the blind. It was incorrectly cut (bottom rail was 2" longer than the top rail), not installed level, side rail was too short, anchor hole drilled in patio in wrong place (2" to wide), wrong hardware was used and valence and bottom rail were damaged. When we returned to Palm Desert in January, we contacted CCA. After two missed appointments both days in which they would not answer phone calls or texts, a cancelled reinstall appointment the morning of the appointment and two subsequent attempts to install the "fixed" shade it is still not correct. It will not detract into the valence because the cable system is improperly installed, they have not replaced the damaged valence and bottom rail as they represented they would. All deficiencies are thoroughly documented with photos and during this 10 week ordeal since original install.

Contract specifically references disputes settled by arbitrationin accordance with the Uniform Rules for Better Business Bureau Arbiration..." but they are apparently not a BBB member.

    Business Response

    Date: 03/16/2023

To Better Business Bureau, Bertha Bejarano,
Country Club Awning took *** ******** on as a client 12/08/22 for the order of a drop shade. The customer requested additional changes that required us to outsource the product for adjustments. We listened and confirmed all requested changes for Mr. ******** with no problem. During installation he pointed out few errors such as measurements and placement of valance on awning in which we proceeded to fix with urgency. He wasn’t happy with the changes and decided to finally pull out from the project 100%. There is an open balance with Mr.******** and we are not offering any resolutions as the project is a all sales final, no refund. Country Club Awning and Blinds has met all standard industry requirement for installation.
Thank you, Country Club Awning and Blinds
