I needed all papers filed for a divorce. Business was recommended by a friend. The office files all the paperwork needed for a flat fee. $850. Made an appointment the week of Aug 10th for Aug 17, 2020. Went into my appointment filled out several papers filled with all the information necessary, paid my $850 and was told that the whole process of filing the paperwork itself takes only 4 hours but everything should be done in a matter of weeks. Initial paperwork filed on August 18, 2020. My ex-husband signs/returns his portion of the documents. Yet, as of August 8th, 2022, no progress. Timeline after Aug 18, 2020: *09/03/20 - Left msg w/recept - ask for update. No reply. *10/07/20 - Left msg w/recpt *10/09/20 - Get hold of Michael A. I call back, no answer. No call back. *11/02/20 - Lv msg w/recpt. *12/03/20 - lv a msg @ website 4:07p - No reply *12/04/20 - Call MAR says he'll send papers to ex. I hear nothing back. *12/10/20 - MAR asks for info I gave on 08/17/2020. *12/11/20 - Call MAR again, asks for same info given day before. *12/12/20 - Call MAR. Customer Answer

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 1******4, and find that this resolution is accepted with reservation.

While I accept this resolution, I must add that this office should not be able to continue service if they can't keep up with the clients they have. Waiting two years for any action/service/product is unacceptable and has caused great distress within my family due to the nature of my situation.

My situation (marriage) was one of economic abuse for nearly two decades that continues to this day in part due to the inaction of this office to follow through on 4 hours of work that I paid for in advance. Paperwork that should have been filed and sent to the court within weeks of August 17, 2020, when we knew where my spouse was and how he could be contacted and were able to finish all the necessary steps to end the marriage and the abuse.

Again, while I accept the promise of a resolution within 90 days, I am also skeptical (with the two year precedent of excuses and purely unnecessary delays) and fear another delay.

This resolution is accepted with deep reservations that must be made note of here.

    Thank you.
