      I was extremely disappointed that my Mohawk carpet started to buckle within four years. I contacted Flooring Innovations and someone came out to look at the carpet. I had it cleaned shortly before he came to my house, so the carpet stretched out. He said that if it buckles again, call me. I did show him pictures of the carpet before cleaning it. It did buckle again. I pursued the issue again, but Flooring Innovations said the warranty stated the carpet was not under warranty without receipts of cleaning every 18 months from the time of purchase. I was not aware of that clause in the warranty. They ended up offering to stretch it for $675. That offer was made before the warranty was due on 8/5/2023.

      Dear Ms. ******, Your carpet was installed on 9/12/2018, just 2 months shy of 5 years. On 8/25/2018 you signed off on the Pre-Installation Checklist, the Terms regarding your carpet which included manufacturer cleaning guidelines and the Pre-Installation checklist for carpet which includes 22 specific line items regarding your project and product care. While of course we are disappointed you may be unhappy, we can only provide you information. We are not able to care for your flooring but we do provide as much information as possible to insure your happiness.       I am in receipt of the Vendor response letter stating that I signed a Pre-installation Checklist agreement, which included product care. Please provide me a copy of said agreement; I am especially interested in the sections that state the carpet would be cleaned every 18 months and that I would retain receipts of this service.
      Quality carpet should not buckle within five years; not if it is the quality I paid for, nor if it was properly installed. Please reconsider my initial request that the carpet be stretched.
