    The business failed to return our security deposit on a property we rented from December 2024 through February 2025. The amount is $500. It was due to be refunded on April 4, 2025. The company lied to us, saying that they could not issue the refund because their bank account had been compromised. Now their phones and email and website don't work. The primary person is ******* ******* who is a realtor (CalBRE #********) and is now associated with a real estate firm called HOMZ *************) where he is listed as the broker and CFO.

    Vacation Rentals of the Desert has been in been in business of 18 years.  On March 3, 2025 we discovered that our client trust account had been compromised.

    Since that time, we have been working with the banks involved and have filed complaints with the following agencies:

    After receiving an insurance settlement of less than 10% of the loss, we made the difficult decision to close our office as we did not have funds to continue operating.  It was not a decision that was made lightly.

    Many people were affected by this crime and we will continue to seek recovery of the stolen funds.
