My ****** Review:I trained every regional corporate trainer that came after me at Union Pacific Railroad. I know how to train people. You don't release employees into the field until they demonstrate the knowledge to accurately do their job. If they're not yet ready and you feel they need additional on the job training, you pair a mentor WITH THEM until they pass the appropriate competency level. Bike ************ Rental quoted me $17 for a new tire tube and $18 for labor when I took my adult trike in yesterday to be serviced. Today, I got a call from them indicating the tube would be $18 and labor would be $20. I asked to have either the owner of the business or manager call me. ******, an employee, called me and asked "what is going on?". I told him he knew EXACTLY what was going on because he's the employee who called me and told me about the quote increase and told him I would be in to pick up my bike. The second call I received was from ****, the business owner, who told me I had been misquoted by a new employee yesterday, and that the new quote was accurate. See comments earlier in this post. Bike ************ Rentals seems to think that only a $3 difference shouldn't make any difference. It matters NOT if it's $3, $300 or $3000. This is not only a reflection of horrible employee training, but a business practice that is unethical.

The fact that you wrote this review over a $3 difference is ridiculous and it speaks for itself, you were never provided a written quote. At the end of the day we never did business with you nor had a transaction because I chose to deny you service after your unreasonable and rude behavior. On January 17, ****, you were told our bicycle technician would call you the following day to give you a verbal estimate, which he did. I also called you and confirmed the correct amount of $18 for a tube and $20 for installation, you were rude and unreasonable and at that point, I informed you that you were forbidden from our establishment. We have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, and you are no longer welcome at BIKE Palm Springs.I spent time on the phone with you on the day you called making sure we had the correct tube to save you a trip. I had my mechanic expedite your trike the next morning because you sounded like a nice person. We both called you on January 18th to inform you of the correct price of $18 for the tube and $20 for labor (Once again it was a $3 difference from the $17/$18 you wanted to pay. Keep in mind, I most likely would have adjusted the pricing had you not been a *******************). You had the option to politely ask for an adjustment or simply decline the service, but once again now you're forever banned from BIKE Palm Springs. As I can see from your past reviews, you've also gone after our friendly competitors at Palm Springs Cyclery with a 2-star review, so good luck finding a bike shop that will take you in for service in the future.According to **********************************, a quote should include the following information: The business name and address The customer's name and address A unique quote number The quote issue date The quote expiry date The description and prices of the products/services The total amount of the sale. Please show proof of the quote. Once again, even if you had it it was a $3.00 difference, and here you arewriting Yelp/google/and bbb reviews over it.Don't talk to me about how to train my employees. There is a big difference be training a new employee in our business and whatever training you did at Union Pacific Railroad. You clearly don't know anything about running a small business and how our shop works.
