    I rented 2 VRBOs in ***********, ** to house out of state families for my wedding. Because of the hurricane damage in ********** I had to cancel my wedding. I know they have a no refund policy. However, this was an unforeseeable natural disaster that Im living in and will be for months. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I will spread the word.

    Here is my review of the home we stayed in:This home was not at all what I expected, it was filthy! The outside was not well maintained. Mosquitoes were BRUTAL, the inside was dusty, full of wobwebs, dirty dishes left in the living room, dirty dishes in the cabinet, dirty spills all over the freezer/ fridge, the ac units were covered in black mold, broken glass outside where my kids were playing, bee hive cobwebs, dirty and leaves in the outdoor shower, but the worst part is I recieved a bunch of texts from Vacasa asking how my stay was and not one person was able to help me with this mess. I spent the entire trip answering their questions and sending photos and to this day no one has helped me get compensation/ refund for the gross state of the home. I will never rent with Vacasa again.

    Vacasa is the worst I have experienced anywhere before. It started with getting access to the property. They clearly stated in the listing and confirmation email on AirBNB, that it was self check-in and I would have an email with the code the morning of check-in.Code did not arrive and I received a call late in the morning that I needed to have a phone call with them first, with no explanation why. I was already on a plane and my mother was due to arrive, who was a guest on AirBNB, and that she would need access to the place before I could speak or arrive. I asked if she could take the call, they said no as she was not on he listing. She was, but they didn't bother to copy it over to their systems and their own app.Then after I arrived I got a phone call from the local office of Vacasa asking for more information. I had done my research and found out there are local ************ ordinances that require extra steps for AirBNB style rentals. As this is known in the market there, this should have clearly been in their listing as a requirement and not a statement of self checkin.They asked me to e-sign a document, but then they wanted me to text them a copy of my license. I refuse to send my PII to some random location, so I sent via AirBNB messaging. They then threatened to come 'sometime tomorrow' to take a photo of it, with no time offered, very unprofessional. They never showed up and never messaged me on the subject again.Then the biggest issue, is that my mother, who is 73, accidentally left her iPad behind. We realized it 5 days later, and we then tracked it to the Vacasa office in ************. They had not bothered to let us know, we had to track it to their office. Now, a full two weeks later after multiple messages, phone calls, and even an email to their CEO, the iPad is still racked to their office in ************ with a response that 'we are working on it'.

    Do not rent a vacation home that uses Vacasa! The home we rented had a focal point of large glass doors that opened up from the living room to the outdoor patio onto the beach. They called right before we checked in and said the doors were broken and if we opened they wouldnt lock? Said they would be there on Monday never showed up! For a solid week to no avail they were fall down artists! The manager ***************** was a joke! His maintenance team even said so! Every day on vacation we had something go wrong with this home and spent countless hours trying to get help! The doors never locked!!!! Anyone could have came off the beach and broke in! The front door code didnt work? side gate code didnt work? Maintenance left hose on rooftop jacuzzi on and flooded the upstairs patio, gas fireplace in master bedroom didnt work! I have ******* on recording saying that he would call me to negotiate compensation and never did! Just put some money on my cc that clearly wasnt sufficient for all the aggravation we dealt with for a solid week! Do not do business with this company as you will be scammed!!

    Worst company to get property through. Initally they were very responsive and seemed to be in the ball. Then I arrived at the property and found false advertisement. When I approached them asking for half refund to cancel as it was unsafe they denied me. I said ok but I wanted to be sure to leave a review so at least others were forewarned about the safety hazard so they could make an informed decision before renting there. They said they would post my review. And did not. I asked them to not cancel my reservation then because if I was gonna be charged for it I wanted to keep it. Because I had the feeling they wouldnt let me post a review. During a five minute interaction they told me no we already cancel it. I was stunned as we were cinversating about this. They could have at least asked are you sure you want to cancel it as I was discussing fees and safety issues and they did not. They just brushed me off and my fears and concerns. Again with my child in the car at about 430 with no where to stay in the mountains. Alone. So I was forced to drive to big bear to hope I could find a hotel. As this Rental Management company could have at least offered to help me find another place but they did t even bother. When they knew I was traveling as a mom and her child only.
    Then I later after finding a place two hours later reached out asking where I could file a grievance as I tried leaving a review and was unable and they did NOT post my comments as they said they would in a text to me.
    Then I stated I would be filing a complaint with BBB and anywhere else I could file a complaint and they asked me to call in to speak to a manager. Mind you I called initially and was hung up in then I was forced to text. So I left a message on the property page via VBRO and now feel there is no other way to warn people about their poor service and failure to care about their customers.
