I had contractor ******** ****** come out to do concrete work on June 29th, 2022. The Amount agreed was ****** As they removed all the dirt to begin laying out the material, he said the cost was going to increase another ****** When asked why when the agreed amount was ***** he said the increase of labor as he needed to hire on more crew. He had already demolished the entire area, i had no choice to proceed. We came to an agreement as he raised the price significantly i was going to do two payment installs, one in August and one in September **** each month since i had already paid him the 2,500 since he added it literally last minute. He had to wait to pour concrete until July 9th. Once he came back to finish the job, he handed me an invoice from the concrete supplier named ******************. which he put a lien on my property and said payment was due in 30 days. That was not the agreement at all, the invoice was for ********** I was pressured to pay it. i contacted ******** ****** on Aug 5th to pick up the 1k we agreed on. He sent his assistant to pick up the funds and i let him know i was not responsible for the ***************** as i had paid the ****** balance. Since then i have received a letter from ************* stating i have an outstanding balance. I would like to get this resolved as i have reached out to ********* (XXX) XXX-XXXX in contacting the contractor on balance. Its unfair for a contractor to change the amount and take advantage and not commit to an agreement. I never agreed to place a lien on my property i do not agree to ************* to do so. Please help.
