This is zero stars because being scammed is not a reward! As stated on their website I was supposed to be able to have access to a full background check and at best it provided information I could have found through a simple ****** search. Also, the report that was produced was supposed to be a fee of only one dollar. I was charged *****, which was not what I agreed to and conveniently I was charged on a Saturday and there is no one I can speak with because customer service is only available Mon-Fri. THIS WEBSITE/COMPANY is a ****. Beware!

If I could, I will leave this company zero stars. They are a scam. They charged me a dollar. After that Dollar worked they tried to charge me 6.99. My bank caught onto what they were doing and Blocked the charge. Within minutes, they charged me 6.95. Which my bank declined again. Yesterday they charged me $***** in my bank Blocked that and today they tried to charge me again the amendment now *****. Do not trust this company as they will continue to try to charge you money and they will adjust it to try to get the right amount so they can take advantage of you. I noticed they like to target disabled people as well.

If it was an option it'd be 0 stars. The page advertised i could get my background check for $1.00 and the charged me $29.17 instead. Disputed the transaction with my bank and Checkpeople.com doesn't exist. Some scam business being run out of a supposed donut shop.

I hate to admit it, but I got scammed by this company also. I'm on a fixed income AND disabled!! Thankfully, my bank is willing to reimburse the money to me. I also changed the payment to a card, since I CAN'T get a hold of ANYONE to cancel my charge and give me a refund. ??THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!??

zero starz- the add said 10 seconds and i could have a report on myself . truth is i wasted five minutes them passing through different screens trying to get me to not leave their page. I dont recall seeing any adds for other businesses but themselves. So i dont know what their motive is for delaying people on their page. the free report also eneded up being behind a pay wall not even offering the nameas a result. if you want a test of your internet patients i reccomend trying this just for fun. BTW zero should be an option in rating. a 1 status implies something over neutral 1-5 stars means only 4 strars of rating since one is fixed solid

This company takes advantage of the elderly by charging them monthly for a service that they are not using. I used it one time and did not realize they were going to charge my account for months. When I realized they were doing this, I contacted them and asked them to cancel immediately and refund my money. I told them that I am 70 years old and I was unaware they had charged my bank account $29.17 for 13 months. They were unwilling to refund any of my money. I am very upset because I never used their service but one time. Please beware and do not use this company.

CheckPeople.com gave me a "Special Offer: Unlimited People Search Trial offer of $1.00" which I accepted. Here are the terms after I paid using a credit card:Additionally, this is stated in the offer:"Billing Terms: You've signed up for our promotional package which gives you 5-day unlimited access to our website for $10 $1.00! If you love our service, simply do nothing and after your 5-day trial period ends, your membership will automatically renew every 30 days at the discounted monthly price of $49.99 $29.16 (99c a day!). You may cancel your account hassle-free, at any time by calling our US-based customer support .We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."My bank account was immediately charged $29.16 and I am afraid that there will be more charges at another time. I called their number, they were closed even though they state 24/7 customer service (they do not), I left them emails and filled out a contact form online, asking for a cancellation and refund for $28.16.Please do not accept offers from checkpeople.com. They have a subscription or something that will be charged additionally

This business claim to charge one price for a trial period and ended up charging my account 30 dollars, even after I called to cancel the subscription. I called to follow up and got a wireless caller voicemail.

I just wanted to do one check for a relative who disappeared. I went to Checkmate which is a trusted site but somehow would up with this CheckPeople. Seems I'm now made a member and they will charge my card mthly for this membership I did not ask for. It showed the price of $1 for one piece of info but charged the $1 then added $6,95. That's even O K but I resent that they signed me up for an ongoing membership without my O K. Apparently a scam and now I have to find out how to keep them from charging my Pay Pal account card.
