My husband bought me a $50.00 gift certificate for the nail salon for Mothers Day 5/2022
Last week when i went to have a pedicure the owner refused to accept it saying he just bought the business and would not accept any gift cards sold by the previous owner. The salon has not changed names or gone out of business. I don't think this is right. In the state ************* gift certificates should be honored as cash. It is not my fault that he didnt't calculate the cost of prevoiusly sold gift certificates when he aquired the business.

Hi Dear! I feel bad for her that I don't take her gift certificate, by myself I feel sad too because she is my customer. I decided to stop, don't accept gift card date before 07/16/22. I bought this business on 07/16/22 and I was take the gift cards from former owner for customer happy and coming back.I was take many gift cards it's cost total more then $500 and sometimes I see gift cards signed by another person that wasn't the person I bought this business. I don't have any money from that gift card and my nail technicians need to earn money. I want to stop this headache. I try to let customer know that I stop take the old gift card before, they understand and come back with us. Seem I am ok now, I didn't see any old gift card. Thank you for understand our new business!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It's not fair to your customers to refuse to accept the gift card. When you buy a business you must realize you accept the gift cards that have already been sold by that business. This is commonly accepted practice *************. The state ************* has laws that protect the customers. You need to know the laws and abide by them. In order to keep your business reputation you should refund or replace my gift card as I am asking you to do so we don't have to take further action. This kind of customer service reflects very badly on your business and will lead to your loss of customers and negative reviews of your business.

****** *******, you can use that gift card in nail salon now. Please write your name on top of gift card, just incase I'm not at salon. And I just take the gift card that you bought from the owner nail salon that I bought this business from them. Thank you!
