      Unethical company and business practices targeting small businesses.Contacted by *** at SSLGURU, LLC who informed my staff that our certificate had expired and he would help reinstate it. He misled us by informing us he was from GoDaddy (the company i use).My staff paid $399 for the certificate. I contacted the company as soon as I was aware of it. I spoke to ***** in their accounting department and explained the problem and she hung up on me. I also spoke to ******* from SSLGURU, LLC, who informed me that the owner would contact me to resolve the matter. I never heard back from him.

      This business is unethical and I strongly recommend not doing business with them.Oct. 2021: They originally represented themselves as working with my provider, GoDaddy. I turned out they were not but were able to issue the SSLs for my websites.Oct. 2022: Even though I had switched my SSL management to GoDaddy, they sent me an invoice and charged my card $266. I contacted them and asked that they remove me as a customer and refund my cc charges, which they did.Nov. 2023, one year later. Upon reviewing my **** charges I discovered that they had, once again, charged my card in October; but this time without sending me an invoice which is why it was not until the following month. I spoke with billing and they said they would send it to the department in charge and issue a refund.Nov. 2023: I did not get the refund and left a message in my portal (still active, in spite of asking them to remove me) and outlined the situation, once more requesting a refund. Logging in a few days later was a message saying the refund was on the way.Dec. 2023: With no refund, I once again got the same response.Dec. 2023: They sent me a form I had to fill out requesting the refund that needed to be mailed in via ***** which I did.Jan. ****: Still not refund, I contacted billing by phone and was, once again, assured that they would look into it and leave a response on the portal message board. Jan. ****: The message was, sorry, we only make refunds within 30 days. No further responses since then.To finish it all off, since GoDaddy was now my SSL Certificate manager, they were unable to issue the **** So, I was not only charged for a service I did not authorize, they did not even provide that service. You do business with them at your own risk.

      I build websites and used to work with another company that charged us for the certs but they wouldn't notify us we had to do more... *** at ******** was very upfront about who they were, saved me money, and helped me service my clients better... These bad reviews sound like people who don't know what's going on with their own business.

      SSLGuru uses predatory practices to make money. I’m a small business owner and another local small business manages my website. Michael from SSLGuru called me to let me know my SSL certificate for my website had expired. He caught me at a very busy time, and instead of calling the company that manages my website, I gave him my credit card info and he charged me for 2 years of service. Then he said he needed my login credentials, and that’s when I knew Michael and SSLGuru weren’t who my website person uses. Thankfully I didn’t give him that info, but I am out the money. I immediately asked for a refund and have been getting the runaround ever since. I opened a ticket on their website and received no response, and I’ve called their billing support line several times, but no one ever answers, and they do not respond to voicemails. Stay far away. They’re absolutely terrible.

      So glad they got my site secured quickly and easily! I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to all this tech stuff so I needed someone reliable. Definitely recommend
