    I booked an event with Pinocchios Pizza with their Elli Banquet Hall room for January 12, 2025. The owner named ***** sent me a just a picture of a receipt with the total amount due, and told me the deposit is $500. At no point in time did he state that this deposit is non refundable, nor did he write an official contract. He just stated the amount per person on the receipt and the $500 will go toward the total amount at the end. I sent the deposit via Zelle on Saturday October 19, 2024 with good faith. Due to extenuating circumstances, the event was canceled and I requested to receive the deposit back on October 31, 2024. He is refusing to do so, even though it was never stated that the deposit is non refundable. I spoke to him again on November 1 and he is still refusing. I can provide the receipt for your review upon request
