This place is a mess. I wasn’t treated with care from the beginning. I tried to reach out about my concerns and received a call back from Terry or Carrie where I was talked to like a complete irrational idiot for being upset. I’ve literally never been spoken to like that by another adult especially in a professional setting. Especially when they know just how sick and scared you are. The doctor never got back to me about what he said he would prescribe for my symptoms although the woman that yelled at me insisted he did. He still has not reached out to me about anything one month later. I was basically seen by a doctor, given zero guidance, I had to ask for my own labs to be done, I was forgotten about in the room so I had to remind them I was there 45 minutes later, was prescribed a pellet weeks later to which no one knew what it was, what it did, or what it was called. I basically got zero care for $300 plus another $185 for a lab test where the results will no longer be evaluated for me as I was just told by Carrie or Terry. I am appalled by her demeanor. I cannot believe this is how they run a business. There were so many ways to help me through this major hurdle and she chose to yell at a very sick and scared woman. I will never allow anyone I know to step foot into this office. This was the single worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctors office. I regret trying functional medicine. I would appreciate a refund since there was zero care. I’m not even one percent better off after this visit.

First, we do not appreciate "this place is a mess". Our office is always sparkling clean, and welcoming. We always strive to provide the best care for all of our patients. This patient (Danica Haverkamp) began arguing and shouting at our team member over the phone when she was trying to explain the office policies and procedures (which Danica had signed that she read, understood and agreed to the policies and procedures). After reviewing the chart completely- here are the facts of this patient's history:
    1. This patient was scheduled for September 19th, 2023. Pt's Psychologist, Jill Fuslier, sent an email requesting an appointment sooner, and our office went above and beyond to make sure she was able to get an appointment sooner / June 20, 2023
    2. Patient received an extensive Initial New Patient Appointment on June 20th, whereas herself and her Practitioner made a plan moving forward which included 2 different types of testing for her symptoms, and would be adding a homeopathic to her protocol once it was ready.
    3. An email was sent to the office on June 27th asking for the homeopathic, and when she should be able to pick it up. The homeopathic arrived at our office on July 7th 2023, we called the patient and let her know it was in. The patient refused to pick up the homeopathic and stated that she "isn't taking that because she doesn't know what it is". Our team member explained to her that it is a natural homeopathic derived from a plant and pellets are made of sugar. Patient then refused to take a recommendation from our medical assistant and her doctor. Our team member also informed the patient that she can discuss any questions/concerns at her upcoming follow up appointment with her doctor on July 24th. Our team member also informed the patient that the doctor would go over any finalized lab results from her testing that had come in with her at that time. The patient left the conversation saying that she understood.
** I would like to note at this time, that by no means had a month passed by without any communication from our office. Please see the dates listed above.
    4. This patient has received a refund in full - in the amount of $320 - for all services and purchases made at our office. This patient also received a letter stating that her refund had been processed in full, and the total amount of the refund in an email sent July 11th 2023 at 11:51 am. In addition to the email detailing her refund, there was a letter attached stating that per mutual agreement made by her during our phone conversation a short time earlier that day, she would no longer be continuing care with our office, and again, that her refund had been processed, and issued back to her credit card on file (the same credit card used to make the purchases).
** this means that at the time of her statement issued to the BBB where she stated that she "would appreciate a refund", this had already been processed and she had been notified by email of this as well as a refund with a receipt had been issued from our credit card processing service (and I do have documentation of all of this as well).
    5. With regards to "a very sick and scared woman" I have a few points:
    A. This patient refused to come in to pick up the homeopathic prescribed by her physician to help with her symptoms. As of yesterday while speaking with the patient, our team member had recommended she come in to pick up the homeopathic, even though she couldn't make it in before we closed on Friday, she never attempted to pick it up Monday all day, or Tuesday up until the time we mutually agreed to part ways.
    B. We have 2 witnesses to the fact that our team member was trying to help the patient understand the process of her care, and went over our policies and procedures, that she has signed and is located in her chart now, that these processes take time. In order to formulate a protocol for her care, the lab testing results are vital to this process. (see C below)
While we were explaining the process to the patient, she began yelling at our team member, and there are 2 witnesses to this that have written down what they heard and observed. As the team member was stating policies and procedures in a clear manner, she began getting very agitated and was no longer hearing what she was trying to explain to her. She may have taken it as our staff was speaking to her like "she was a complete irrational idiot for being upset", however, we was just trying to help her understand the process in the clearest way possible in hopes for a mutual understanding. Our team member stayed calm and collected until the patient started yelling and then chose to finish things up and end the conversation. For this reason, and for the unreasonable behavior exhibited by the patient, our office has chosen to end the relationship with this patient.
    C. This patient also hasn't even completed one of the prescribed lab tests, so we would not have these results to begin the specific process of treatment, which is why the homeopathic was prescribed to help alleviate some of the symptoms while waiting for the lab testing results to come back.
    6. Finally, we have complete documentation for all conversations, emails and treatments, as well as a complete financial and digital history with this patient. This will include a financial trail with her refund, and the moment it was processed. We can have it available to you upon request.
Last note - our office has even agreed to provide the patient with the lab results from the 1 test she did have processed, even though she is no longer a patient, and we have not been paid for any of our services, or the huge amount of time spent trying to help her heal, or this time consuming mess responding to invalid claims. These lab results are in process of being scanned in and sent as we type our response to this complaint.
    Thank you,
