      I purchased a used 2021 Jay Flight travel trailer from Sky River RV in Paso Robles, CA in February 2024 for $18,881.60. I contacted them in May 2024 to inquire about consigning the trailer with them because I was experiencing pregnancy related medical issues and could not manage keeping the trailer. When I spoke to the associate about the value of my trailer, he informed me it was worth $8,000. I questioned why Sky River RV had sold me the trailer for over $18,000 just 3 months prior. He stated that because I was selling it so soon after purchasing it, the value had dramatically decreased and they were not willing to put it on consignment. This reason did not make any sense whatsoever considering it was already a used unit when I purchased it. Also, they did not inform me of the true market value at the time of purchasing. Additionally, the trailer was sold 'as is' with none of the equipment needed to function properly (generator, drain hose kit, etc.) I was issued a $50 voucher to use at their onsite store, which was extremely overpriced and I was not able to purchase any of the most basic items for $50. When I asked to save the voucher for use at a later time, I was met with resistance and felt pressured by the staff to use it at that time. I felt this to be unethical on their part. I was not seeking to make any profit from the consignment, only to have the remaining loan balance of $14,500 paid off and any extra profit would be kept by Sky River RV. I had compared similar units for sale on the market and many were selling in the $14-17k range, so I felt that they were in a position to potentially make a profit from consigning the trailer. After my experience with them over the phone regarding the consigment, it was clear they were not interested in serving the customer that they felt was not worth their time or effort. Ideally, I would like Sky River RV to buy back the trailer for the remaining loan balance of $14,500 which I feel is completely reasonable.
