    Please read before purchasing a Golden West. The absolute crappiest job. Wall corners (where walls meet) are not sharp, not finished.Moulding is atrocious, pieced together and it is OBVIOUS. Carpet coming out of threshold. Already replaced stove. Had to replace refrigerator door after water all over.Half caulked in kitchen. **** never recommend to anybody.Not finished under house, left open piping and electric. Countertops haphazardly glued which has since come off. I am amazed this company is still around. Never again.

    If there was a zero rating, I would give it to this company. Just because we bought our home with them 20 years ago, they now are saying that there is no information on our homes nor what type of shingles they installed back then. It seems like they only keep records, in this age of technology, for the last 10 years. They were not able to provide a phone number for the shingle company so I can call them and file a claim as the shingles did not withstand the 30 years warranty they said in their paperwork. They just did not care.
    Besides that, Golden West Homes installed the shingles and they left about two feet of roof without shingles, only installed this black sheet of paperboard that with time got burned out, I suppose, and with all the rains we recently had, it finally gave in and we had water coming into the family room, a bedroom, and the garage. I am by myself and I am not going to be climbing to the roof to see if they did a good job or not... besides, there was no homeowner inspection done back then... it is my first home I got by myself, so I did not know about these things.
    The worst part is that they don't care just because it was "very long ago" like this man said. Please do not use this company and save yourself a headache in the future. There are many more manufactured homes companies, like ******** Homes, ********* Homes, etc.
