For quite some time a Learn Desk representative by the name of Sr. ** ******************* had been trying to get my attention to become an instructor on **'s teaching platform. According to the email, "I came across your learning content and found it to be useful for a lot of people." Really? Great! After a third nebulous email I received from Vivek, I took her up on the offer to visit the ** website and even spend over an hour listening to a Dr. *********************** tout the wonders of the ** teaching platform during a demonstration. It was afterward, when I started asking questions that everything went south. Which pretty much vindicated all the criticisms I had read leading up to the demonstration. My questions stemmed from trial periods to 10% discounts that were offered to the number of employees running the show over at ** to who in ***************** could I contact, just in case I had a question. Not only was Sr. ** Vivek totally evasive on answering my questions, during the demonstration the good "doctor" obfuscated as well. In a last moment of contradictory behavior on the part of Vivek, she abruptly wrote an email stating, "we are only looking to work with teachers or teaching businesses who work with students on a daily basis. This is not a good fit for what you do. We wish you the best." Really? Who made that determination? And if ** was only looking for specific teachers and teaching businesses, then why tell me earlier, "I came across your learning content and found it to be useful for a lot of people"? Did something suddenly change in the past 48 hours, or was I coming a bit too close to the real ** operation, which, once again, vindicated many of the criticisms, that ** is predicated on fraud and deception?Anyway, for those reading this, "caveat emptor" or buyer beware. Learn Desk has as seemingly good idea, when it comes to teaching, but once you start to ask questions, the unseemliness starts to shine through in all of its fraudulent ugliness. Take care.
