I made arrangements with Proshred to come to my personal residence on July 5, 2023. The truck arrived around 8:20 am. As I was watching him pull up, I witnessed the truck run into and sever the overhead cable line in front of my house. The cable line was left dangling in front of my home, the line to my neighbor's home across the street was also severed, and there was another cable line hanging into the street. The driver, who stated he was the owner of the company, acknowledged that he had run into the lines. The driver/owner went ahead and shredded the 10 boxes of documents as per our arrangement. He requested payment and I requested some kind of concession (discount) because of the issue with the cable lines. He said he would take responsibility but refused to give me any discount on his service. I went ahead and paid the $167 by debit card to avoid engaging in a dispute or conflict on the spot. However, I am now very inconvenienced with trying to make arrangements to have the cable lines removed / repaired / cleaned up. I contacted their office person ***** who said they had made a call to ******* to report the situation but did not offer any additional helpful information. I requested that perhaps she could extend a 20% discount to the bill I paid due to the fact that my time and productivity this morning has been greatly impacted. She refused to offer any concession, so now I'm having to deal with hours of trying to have the cable company come out, notify the city that there are downed lines on the street, etc. The dangling line in front of my driveway prevents me from parking one of my cars. At the very least I would like to report this business for being not customer friendly, and not being willing to attempt to address my situation with any concession. I do not trust that they will do any follow up to have these downed lines taken care of, and now I have to focus my time and energy on an issue that they clearly caused.
