I am a member of **************************** in **************** (*****************************************************) which has pickleball courts and offers group lessons typically 6 weeks long continuously throughout the year. As you can imagine some of these classes get rained out, and sometimes they offer make up sessions, but of late, they are not even trying to offer make-**** and only credit back the amount for the missed classes to your account with them. As it happens I have a large credit with them (had to cancel classes last summer due to injury), so I was motivated to pursue an actual refund ($78) for 3 cancelled classes in the Fall II session. The email notifying me of the "Rain" CREDIT back to my account with them is appended below. When I inquired at the offices at *******, I was told there was no possibility of a refund... that was their policy and they referred me to this page on their website (*****************************************************tennis/rain-make-up-procedure/) and informed me it was my responsibility to have read it. The gal at the reception desk even suggested that I should just use my large credit at their pro shop, and that is when I decided the entire practice was fishy. I ultimately spoke to the manager of *******, *******************, and asked exactly where I agreed to these terms of purchase when I signed up for the class, as I at no time checked a box agreeing to a NO REFUND policy. She said that question was above her pay grade and she would check with central management of LifeTimeActivities (***************************************) the company Parks & Rec has outsourced the management of ******* to. Needless to say, I have never heard back from *****. I sent her an email asking her again where and when I agreed to those purchase terms (for all I know I agreed when I signed up and gave my credit card to be a member back in 2021....), and have attached a screen shot of that email below. Never heard back from that email, but the organization did change the class refund policy on the website, and no longer talk about using your credits at their pro shop! The facility follows this practice across HUNDREDS of members who have their classes cancelled due to rain, etc. I just have enough credits to get sufficiently annoyed to pursue the matter with you. Further attachments are the original charge for the class on my account with *******, and the credit back to that account in December.

Hello,I enrolled my kid for table tennis classes (from Oct to Dec 2022) offered by Lifetime Activities based in **********. The first two classes were canceled by Lifetime Activities. I requested a refund as per their refund policy but they provided me a credit. I don't have any intentions to enroll in any activity there and so the credit is useless for **** have made multiple requests at their front desk for the refund and even asked them to refer to their own website which clearly says that a refund will be issued if classes are canceled by Lifetime Activities. I am contacting BBB to help me get the refund for the two classes canceled. Their refund policy can be found here : ********************************************************* am also attaching a snapshot of their policy. Thank you!
