    I paid ****** ***** at **** money to install a mini-split system. He and his co-worker *** ******** from ************, the person who did my electrical work and referred me to DERNS HVAC came and did the install. On 3 different occasions the mini-split malfunctioned. I had to call ****** repeatedly to before he would get back to me and most of the time, I had to reach out to his partner *** ******** and then ****** would call me back. My mini-split continued to lose refrigerant and ****** kept blaming it on the product because he wanted me to purchase a **********, yet he went ahead and installed the Pioneer system that I chose to purchase. ****** charged me every time he came, scratched his head and could never figure out why my system was losing refrigerant. He kept blaming it on the fact that it wasn't a ********** and that I should have listened to him, yet he came out, didn't fix it and charged me to refuel the refrigerant lines. On one instance ****** and *** told me to call Comfort Control to have them come out. The repair man found oil coming from the lines, thought it was the ******** valves. I called ****** and *** to let them know. They came out and without being able to diagnose this themselves or even double check that it was the issue, they took the word of this tech, replaced the valves and charged me to refuel the lines. The system again lost refrigerant. ****** refused to call me back and his partner *** told me he could not help me anymore and that he was going out of business. Once again I called Comfort Control. The tech ***** diagnosed the problem as installer error due to a faulty Flare Fitting. It has a k*** inside of it. ***** shared that a knowledgeable technician makes they own flares and at the very least checks them before installing. I am requesting a reimbursement of the monies I paid ****** for repairs and the $2047 I paid Comfort Control to repair what was an installer error. ****** and *** should have fixed this.
