Speckless Window Cleaning Around April 9th, 2023, we met with ****, the owner, to discuss and quote the window cleaning ****** wife and I hired **** *********, the business owner, to clean the windows of our new home (ADU) while we were out of town.We are regular clients of ****** and have previously been satisfied with his work; in fact, a photo of our home is featured on his website without our consent. However, this is not the reason for my complaint.Although **** was the one who initially assessed the job and agreed to perform the work during our absence, due to his busy schedule, he delegated the task to an unfamiliar worker who had not been introduced to the specifics of the job.On April 22nd, upon discovering that an unknown individual named ****** was performing the work, we sent our groundskeeper/property manager, ******, to monitor the situation. ******, who has been associated with our property for about 20 years, noticed the worker using a razor on the windows, resulting in scratches, and reported that the cleaning quality was subpar compared to what we had experienced with this vendor. When my wife contacted **** to request that the work be halted due to the scratched windows, **** responded disrespectfully, insisting that his worker would not use a razor and demanded payment, declaring the job complete.Despite paying ****, I withheld judgment until I could personally inspect the windows. Upon my return in early May, I found that all the cleaned windows bore similar scratches and that the job was ************* the very least, I would expect a refund of the fees we paid, and scratched glass replaced.

Long story short he hired me to clean his windows and we did just that. After the cleaning he accused us of scratching his windows. He had several large projects going on at once and inside of the home with plywood everywhere, power tools & saws, misc equipment and supplies and when he mentioned this to me I replied with no problem. All we need to do is meet up at the house to go over the scratched windows and we can talk about it and go from there but he refused time and time again telling me each time that he's busy and he would have his general contractor meet me to go over everything which I responded that won't work. This went on for several months. I kept trying to meet either him or his wife to discuss what he accused us of and every time he had an excuse on how he's busy and can't make it and how I'd be doing him a great favor if I could simply meet with someone else. As you already know that's impossible when he's the homeowner and asking for my insurance to replace his windows that we never scratched in the first place. On top of that I've never scratched any windows in 7+ years of doing this and the tools we use do not leave scratching even if we tried it's almost impossible. I tried to accommodate him as much as possible but when the homeowner refuses to meet me about the situation there's nothing left for me to do. I can only try so much and if we can't even meet up to discuss the scratching then I don't know what else he expects from me.
