    My storage unit was broken into last week, company's website states "each unit has an individual alarm on each door" I spoke to person working office inside, his name is ***** and he stated that the alarm on the unit that was broken into was not working properly. I lost over ^***** worth of guitars that were stolen. If the alarm was an actual alarm on each door as advertised by company website than I would have been notified or the office notified immediately which this is not what happened. Because I was not notified that their was an issue with my unit until May 10th when I last visited the unit on May 6th.

     I am rejecting this response because: It has been 3 weeks now since my storage unit was broken into, I filed a complaint and am barely getting a response to BBB complaint close to 3 weeks since filing original complaint all while nothing has been done in terms of my storage unit that was broken into. Starting to sound like Planet Storage is not taking this incident seriously. Management and office personnel refuse to help with the investigation as stated by Manager ***************************. The so called alarm on the unit that was broken into was apparently not working properly as stated by office personnel *****. The BBB response of "we are investigating this matter" sure does not reassure me about my stolen valuables which according to planetstorage.com website, your facility is Highly Secure, Store your valuables here. I would also like to point out that the manager ***** when I last I spoke to her in person on 5/14 was very rude and our conversation was becoming heated because I called them out on their faulty security system. ***** then proceeds to tell me "Tons of storage facilities in this area, **************** are getting broken into" making it seem like its normal to have my things stolen. So forgive me if I don't accept "Your investigating this matter in its entirety." as a response. Your welcome to send me an email at ********************** regarding any additional info you may need or would like to share. But as of now I will be rejecting this response.

    This is in response to the notice dated June 3, 2024 ID ********. We are sympathetic to *********************** for his situation regarding his unit and the loss of his property. However, contract 5108 dated September 6, 2023 signed by *********************** releases Planet Storage from any liability of property stored in his rented unit. Please refer to item #9 in regards to Release of Owners Liabilities. We have also assisted with all video recordings and provided everything to the officer who made the report.
