My 10 year old ********** refrigerator stopped cooling adequately. I called J&M Applicance to fix it. After assessing the situation, it was determined that the evaporator was bad and it would cost $1200 or more to replace it.On their own, J&M Applicance did some ********** warranty research and determined that the evaporator was a known part that had a recall on it.J&M Appliance was able to fix the evaporator at no cost to me.They are awesome!I will never call anyone else to fix my appliances.

I was quoted $119 for service call for my oven lighter. I was told if the tech had the part with him he will fix the problem the part would included with the $119
$312 later. They charged me $65 for the part and $240 for labor.
I should have been told about the out outrageous labor prices.

Our service call (trip and diagnostic) indeed is $119.00. This amount is applied towards the repair in full, so if the unit is fixed, only parts and labor are paid.
The technician diagnoses, provides the estimate, if the customer authorizes the repair then we proceed with the repair. If the technician has the parts on the 'truck' and is able to repair the same day then the customer will pay the total estimate.
If the part isn't available on the truck, the customer will then pay the $119.00 service call fee. Upon return they will pay the remaining balance of the same estimate as if the tech had it on the truck the same day.
We use a 'bluebook' for our 'industry.' Labor is determined by providing the model number and the part number, that program then provides the labor total. This is per our industry. All service companies using this program, will have the same labor rate.
I reviewed the invoice and our technician provided the correct total for the repair of her wall oven.
    I hope this helps.
If there are any questions, feel free to contact me at the office.
    Thank You

That is our 'phone message' to all our customers.

Avoid this company at all costs. I requested service for a microwave and finally about 5 months later it was fixed. On the second visit, the new part was installed and when they went to test it, they blew out the circuit breakers. I then had to call an electrician to replace the circuit breakers, to the tune of over $600.00. I had to have a handyman come and repair and replace the cabinet that the microwave/oven was in, twice. John came one day to finish he repair, and was putting the part on the counter and proceeded to break a wine goblet. At least he did clean it up! One the final day of the repair, I was never given an estimate or final statement. A month or so later I receive a call threatening to take me to collections. Just send me an invoice and it will be paid. Stay away from this company. They are a nightmare.

    Goodafternoon,
We've gone several 'rounds' with this customer, attempting to collect remaining balance of approved estimate!
The customer was provided a complete estimate which the customer approved via email!
The customer was advised that upon our return to repair, the unit (walloven) would have to be uninstalled by a professional.
    The customer hired a 'handyman'.
All parts were installed and tested ok.
Next day, all breakers blew in the kitchen and customer was advised to call 'professional' to deal with electrical issue that was admittedly caused by the 'handyman'.
Electrical issue burned out the control board which had to be rebuilt.
Upon return as our technician attempted to install parts, the upper cabinet fell!!
He was advised that the 'handyman' would reinstall the cabinet.
Customer wasn't available to collect the remaining balance at that time.
At no time was I informed of a 'wine goblet' breaking, which I advised our tech who doesn't recall such an incident.
After several voicemails, emails to attempt to collect it took a phone with a voicemail stating that her account was being forwarded to collections... after 2 months of attempting to collect the remaining balance, I'm not sure why the customer is surprised that we were forced to make that call.

I forgot to mention that the customer states she 'paid' the invoice. I have yet to receive such payment!
The repair was completed on 6/6/2022!!
