I contracted with Redlands Moving for a full-service household goods move from its storage location to a specific TN residential address in Dec 2024. Redlands had packed my goods in 2012 and stored them i. At no point was a detailed packing list *********** reaching an all-inclusive price agreement, the owner (***** ******) and I discussed many examples. One was that since Redlands Moving knew the exact address, there would be no extra fees for delivery/unloading.We verbally agreed, documented with an email, and signed an agreement for full-service. Redlands Moving did not give me a copy of the signed contract. I paid in full before the delivery. A 52' truck arrived at my residential address on 17 Dec My goods only took 1/3 of the trucks capacity. The truck was too long to reverse into my driveway to unload . The driver said he knew this before he loaded my goods. He had discussed this with Redlands management. On Dec 18, the driver rented an 18' truck and came for delivery. I was told I must pay an additional fee of $1,000 to receive my shipment. His message was clear: If I did not pay this amount, my shipment would be returned to ********** and I would forfeit the amount paid. I was coerced into signing a document declaring that I willingly paid the extra charge. During this time, the owner (*****) ghosted me. He did not accept my or return calls and did not respond to voice/text msgs. Redlands Moving staff said they could not take action. With no packing list and a lack of time to examine the goods when they were unloaded as most were in the original packing boxes, some items were damaged. I believe Redlands Moving and Storage is NOT a professional, honest, and honorable company:-We agreed on a fair and reasonable fixed all-in price, yet I was forced to pay an extra $1,000 -The Tennessee delivery was not exclusive. The company made other deliveries. -No packing list provided.-No copy of the signed agreement.

Thank you for your message. Id like to address your concerns regarding the charges and services related to your move from our storage facility to your Tennessee residence.

The original quote was based on delivery from point A to point B assuming standard access for a 53 tractor-trailer. As discussed at the time of booking, if your home could not accommodate this type of truck, a shuttle service would be required at an added cost. This is standard practice in our industry. No company can economically send a bobtail truck cross-country, as sleeper cabs are essential for long-distance moves to avoid hotel costs and meet DOT compliance.

Regarding the packing inventory, this service is optional and available for an added fee due to the labor required. It was not selected at the time of packing in 2012. Despite this, your goods were professionally packed and protected.

The $1,000 shuttle fee was necessary due to the physical access limitations at your address. The driver did communicate this before delivery, and the document signed simply confirmed the access issue and related chargenot intended as coercion, but acknowledgment. The cost of a secondary truck, fuel, and labor could not be absorbed, especially after your move was discounted by over $2,000.

As for damages, weve not received a formal claim. If you wish to begin that process, were more than willing to assist. Please send us a list and photos of the affected items, and well guide you through the proper steps.

We apologize if you experienced any communication delays during a peak period and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

We had these movers move my family from ******* ********** to ******** **********. Initially they quoted us $800.00 for the move. When all was said and done they charged us over $2,000.00.I would like them to reimburse us $1200.00
