I purchased a Man Crates gift card advertised to be redeemable for a variety of venders in December of 2023. My father scratched the code wrapper off the card yesterday, and Man Crates internal system claimed it had already been used. Correspondence with their support unveiled a pretty disturbing case of fraud and fraud obscuration - their agent repeatedly made falsified excuses rather than attempt a remedy. The agent initially claimed the code was voided internally and a full refund was issued. Once it was made clear that I had my bank records open and could prove no refund was provided, the narrative changed; their gift card redemption was undergoing renovation and would be accessible in February of 2025. After that lie was thoroughly debunked, the agent asked for the code on the card, which I provided (feeling pretty helpless by this point, more curious about the scam than my actual refund). Once the code was checked with 'the right team', the agent declared it had been used on ****** in July of 2024. This is a total lie, as ****** doesn't even have the capability of activating a code of that length, let alone from a third party vender. Once this lie was called out, the issue was elevated to management after I provided a picture of the gift card and the wrapper that was scratched off the code YESTERDAY December 8th, 2024, and I am currently awaiting a reply. I have the complete transcript with the agent, as well as verifications of the purchase and relevant order information via email and bank statements.

I am wondering how to close a complaint that has been resolved by the retailer.
