A anonymous employee reported to police false allegations in order for police to respond and give access to my car to the tow driver and company that made the report. I was detained and my car was left there at the scene with another officer to release car to that individual . When I tried to retrieve car I had to get a Release form from police to take back car. I was charged more than their posted prices and I was given the run around when I called to obtain info. A lien was processed on the day I picked up car. The employee said it was not processed and nothing had being done to obtain illegal lien ownership or anything. I requested copies and was told I would receive an email to confirm the voided lien that was started . I received the lien document today 12/4 , 7 days after I picked up car and the lien document states it was submitted on the 1st of this month. I took my car back on 11/27 , it was only stored from the 20th to 27th . There were parts taken out of my car and replaced with basic cheap parts that looked similar to my original factory parts. My Blacktop suspension kit was removed and other vehicle parts were tampered with. When i call they never have accurate information , and they cannot provide info on anything I asked. I had to pay their asking prices because they kept adding charges for whatever they felt they could get away with. When I got copies of the car when I picked it up. The guy gave me the actual dispatch report of what tow company ordered their help to tow my car because they couldnt get access to it , the document named a individual name who took car and didnt state the storage place was taking car . So conflicting information. I want my money back for the parts they took from my car that left my car not running to its normal way of operating.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: the information i provided is confidential and cant be shared but i can provide the date and vehicle info. I recently got a lien notice that was done on 12-1-2023 , 6 days after i took car out the storage place. I was charged lien fee on that same day i got car back. By law , after 30 days , a lien can be processed , but no notice or lien attempt was done on your part. 2018 Dodge Charger white vin-***** taken in on 11-20-2023. And got car released back to me on 11-27-2023..
I gave employee .my email to email me a copy of the cancelled lien attempt but he said it would be emailed because dmv did it that way. No email was sent to me , only spam emails phishing into my phone to hack into it . I am seeking my refund plus damages done to my car when it was towed. The suspension and transmission is misfiring ever since i picked it up. And mechanic said the towing or when it was pulled , it forced transmission and caused damages. I am seeking my refund and for payment for the damage caused from the towing , it wasnt done correctly

Pepe towing alone with SB Sheriff took advantage of me sending my car to their impound lot. They would not allow me to use my AAA account where I have a premium account and would have towed my car for free. When learning they towed my car, I tried picking it up that night and they were closed and said I would be charged $384 bucks to pick it up the next day. When driving to get my car… it took 2 1/2 hours to get there when it’s usually a 45 minute drive. I called to let them know that I was on my way, they informed me that if I didn’t get there before 5 pm there would be an additional charge of $143 bucks. Of course I didn’t make it on time. After promising that someone would stay late to help, no one’s did. We got there 15 minutes after they closed and we had to wait until the supervisor **** come over at 6:45 pm to release my car. I was charged a total of $490 bucks for them keeping my car less than 24 hours. Pepe rules are… we close at 5:00 pm and everyday at 7:00 pm they will charge you an additional $143 per day. How are they able to charge another day when they are not staying open until 7;00 pm to avoid the extra charge. Also, I signed paperwork that I didn’t receive a copy of. Even after I asked.Business Response

Good morning,After looking into this, the vehicle was towed by the San Bernardino CHP on Wednesday December 14th around 1906 hours at WB 10fwy East of Pepper. The San Bernardino CHP Offcier authorized us to tow the vehicle with a CHP-180 form and the reason for tow was 22651-G Driver transported. The charges that were paid on Decmber 15th was $286 for the tow, $61 for the day of storage, and $143 for an after hours gate fee. The registred owner came to get the vehicle out after business office hours (Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm also closed for holidays). All our rates that were charged are and have been approved by the San Bernardino CHP Office.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I wouldn’t have to pay that much money if the CHP was fair to me. First of all, my wreck happened on the 210 freeway not the 10 freeway. Also, I was keeping in contact with the dispatch person when I was on my way to pick up my car. Also, I got there at 15 minutes after they close due to an accident that was on the 210 freeway trying to get there. What should’ve took me 45 minutes, took me over two hours to get there, I arrived 15 minutes after 5pm and they made me wait until 6:45 pm to pick up my car even though I was keeping in touch with the tow yard. They towed my car in after hours and they was refusing to let me pick it up after hours. The CHP is supposed to be there for people. I have premium AAA and the police would not allow my tow truck to get my car. I don’t see the difference in which tow truck pick up my car, except for the CHP wanted money! The two people they had an accident with me didn’t even have insurance and their car was not towed. Also when I picked up my car, I don’t get any of the copies of papers that I had to sign to get my car released, including the property that was supposed to be in my car, after they rummaged through my car and pull stuff out of the glove compartment. it was a big money making scheme for the CHP. The other 2 drivers were young and non-black, I’m a black lady over 50. They do not get to treat people this way because they have a badge. I want my $500 bucks back and this is only the start. I am seeking to sew the CHP officer personally. The accident happened at 5:50 pm and my car didn’t get towed until after 7 pm according to your paperwork. The hospital was a joke also… I was not seen by a doctor but he prescribed me pain medication?? San Bernardino city will pay for the way I was treated. Policies need to change…. On Friday 11/04/2022 around 11:00am the towing company Pepe towing was ordered to tow my trailer with my boat still attached. During the tow the truck driver was advised to be careful when towing the boat. Due to improper towing both of the engines on the boat were damaged. I called the manager in charge the following Monday 11/07/2022 because they were closed on the weekend. We mentioned to the person that released the trailer with my boat that there was damage on the motors. The company is taking too long to provide any information or resolution in regards to the damage to my boat.Business Response
