TNT *********** is just another of so many Tow companies that use predatory tactics to steal peoples cars and property by gouging customers with unreasonable tow and storage fees to downright breaking the CA State Law by withholding personal property until you hand over your keys. I personally experienced this today after having my vehicle impounded for expired registration, which is certainly my fault however, TNT *********** refused to allow me access to my personal property when I showed up at the office on Sierra **** I was told I would not be allowed to get my property unless I gave them my vehicle keys. Dont ever do this. You are entitled to get your property free of charge. The reason they want your keys is so that they can inventory your belongings (while they keep what they want) and then they charge you some ridiculous fee for stealing your s*** I had to call local law enforcement for assistance and they tried to tell the police its their policy to *********** in exchange for personal property. Thank you so much to the officers at ******************* for reminding these predators they must operate within the law. Not only did they try to refuse me access, they charged an astronomical $450 to tow my car 2 blocks and keep it in their yard for 4 hours. This is unreasonable and in my opinion falls into the category of predatory business practices. Do not use this company for any voluntary tow needs. Even doing voluntary tows are an opportunity to take advantage as I overheard the office girl quoting a customer 1200$ to tow a vehicle 36 miles. WTF! This is plain and ************ thievery. Something needs to be done about this industry that day after day take advantage of the system. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT- they are predatory in their business practices. Needless to say, they werent stealing MY car today!!
