I was having engine problems my check engine light was on, I also had a knocking noise coming from the bottom of my engine, I was recommended to take my van to IG Diego engine and transmission rebuilders by a mechanic I know, I made contact wit the business by phone late January around the 25th or 26th, they said they could send over a tow truck to pick up the van they, didn't think it was a good idea to drive with the van making knocking noises. They sent over some guys to pick up the van a couple of hours later. The next day or two a representative from IG Diego contacts me by phone stating from their findings they recommend a complete engine rebuild. They quoted me a price of $2,925 for labor plus any necessary parts. They informed me they would be able to get started with a deposit of $1000. I agreed to everything up to that point. A couple of day later a representative from IG Diego contacts me to inform me the engine has been removed and they recommend a list of parts to be replaced, i should come down to the shop so they can visually show me what they discovered, the parts that needed to be replaced, i go to the shop a hour later once there i over look the parts while there i ultimately agree with the parts recommendation, I give them an additional $500 deposit for a total of $1500 and authorization to order the parts and continue with the job which now bring the total quote to $5,400. I was contacted by a representative from IG Diego on February 9 stating that i van was fixed and ready to be picked up. I pick up the van February 9 pay the remaining balance. Two days later the check engine light comes back on i contact IG Diego to inform them they tell me to bring the van back. I return the van they tell me the fuel pump need to be replaced. they replace the fuel pump i pay and take off with the van, 3 days later the check engine light comes on again this time they say its the **** I pay for the ecm and leave with the van

With any other customer a check ******************** light after a rebuild means to take it back and let us fix it under warranty but with Mr. ****** it is not. He does not trully understand what a misfire is and belives his engine is mifiring all the time. We tried to settle this dispute with him in a civilized matter but he is out of control, we have audio of his calls and proof of what type of person he is. In every call he makes, he threatens us, calls us racists, scammers and we lost our patience with him. His engine is completely rebuild and relaiable with no issues even after a 200+ mile road test, when check engine comes on it's after all of that and it's most likely his aftermarket catalytic converter he has installed but refuses to want to replace it if the engine had a mechanical misfire it would do it all the time.

SINCE THIS VEHICLE CAME IN FOR INSPECTION ENGINE HAD A MISFIRE IN CYLINDER 1,3 AND 5. AFTER CHECKING COMPRESSION IN EVERY CYLINDER COMPRESSION WAS FINE AT AROUND ******* PSI WE NOTICED CYLINDER HEADS WERE RECENTLY REBUILT. AT 3000 RPM ENGINE HAD A KNOCKING NOISE AND THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WE RECOMENDED TO REBUILD ENGINE COMPLETELY. AFTER ALL THE ENGINE REBUILD PROCESS MACHINING, ASSEMBLY AND ENGINE INSTALLATION WE FOUND ENGINE UNSTABLE AND FOUND FUEL PRESSURE TO BE LOW FROM FUEL PUMP SO CUSTOMER APPROVED TO REPLACE PUMP. AFTER ROAD TEST VEHICLE WAS READY TO GET PICKED UP BY CUSTOMER AND HE CAME TO PICK IT UP. HE BROUGHT IT BACK THE SAME DAY WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND FUEL TANK WAS LEAKING FROM FUEL FILLER NECK SEAL. SEAL WAS REPLACED AND CUSTOMER TOOK VEHICLE. A **** AFTER HE BROUGHT THE ********* WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FOR A MISFIRE IN THE SAME CYLINDERS. WE REPLACED ENGINE CONTROL MODULE TEST DROVE VEHICLE WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CALLED THE CUSTOMER TO PICK IT UP. ANOTHER **** WENT BY AND HE BROUGHT IT BACK WITH SAME IS*** WE REPLACED FUEL INJECTORS AND DROVE IT AGAIN FOR MANY MILES WITH NO IS***S OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. A FEW DAYS LATER VEHICLE RETURNS WITH SAME IS***. THIS OCCASION CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS CLEANED, REPLACED DISTRIBUTOR AND 2 OXYGEN SENSORS. AFTER THIS VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN FOR OVER 200 MILES WITH NO IS***S NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. CUSTOMER TOOK VEHICLE AND DROVE IT FOR 2 DAYS WHEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. HE BROUGHT IT BACK AGAIN MARCH 25TH MONDAY MORNING WITH SAME IS***. HE DECIDED TO TAKE VEHICLE WITH NO ATTEMPT TO REPAIR BECAUSE IT WAS SPRING BREAK AND OUR TECHNICIANS HAD THE **** OFF. THE FOLLOWING MONDAY HE SPOKE WITH THE ***** AND WAS OFFERED TO TAKE HIS VAN TO ANOTHER SHOP WE GOT REFEREED FROM THE DEALERSHIP BUT CUSTOMER DENIED INSULTING BUSINESS AND STAFF, THREATENED TO *** AND REPORT A CLAIM TO THE BBB, TO ADD BAD REVIEWS ON ******* YELP, ETC. HE SAID  WILL DISPUTE CREDIT CARD CHARGE SO HE CAN GET HIS MONEY BACK. HE ASKED FOR FULL REFUND BUT WAS OFFERED $1,000 AND TO TAKE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER SHOP AND IF THE COST IS OVER $1,000 HE MUST BRING INVOICE AND IG DIEGO WOULD PAY FOR THE DIFFERENCE. ENGINE COMPRESSION WAS CHECKED AND EVERYTHING IS TO SPECS ENGINE RUNS GOOD NO LEAKS OR ANY IS***S VEHICLE IS RELIABLE AND HAS BEEN ROAD TESTED WITH NO IS***S EXCEPT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITCH STATES A MISFIRE BUT A REAL MISFIRE IS NOT PRESENT.

I am rejecting this response because: THEIR EXPLANATION MAKE NO SENSE IF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL PRESENT THERE IS STILL A ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE, SINCE I PICKED UP THE *** FEB 9TH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RETURNED TWO DAYS LATER THEY HAVE BEEN GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND BLAMING EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY ELSE AND REFUSING TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AT HAND THE STILL MISFIRING CYLINDERS AND A **** RUNNING ENGINE, I WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF $2500 THE ***** THAT I PAID IN CASH

I'm willing to accept the $1000 dollars, if the repair cost more i'm willing to relay that information to IG Diego so they can then pay the shop the difference

When we offered this to Mr. ****** he proceeded to insult the company and staff members, we no longer want anything to do with Mr. ******. We cannot offer him money anymore because he paid around $2,800 in credit cards and is disputing them with merchant services. We rather settle this in small claims where we can show the jugde what type of person we are dealing with, we have audio of his calls where he insults and goes of topic. We tried to reason with him but always on the offensive even when speaking to the owner he shows no respect eventhought the owner was very respectfull with him.
