Lovely people but not very competent and marginally honest. The estimator assured us how competent he was ('our family has been doing this for 3 generations'), but his weight estimate was off by 33% (****** lb estimate vs. over ****** actual). When we complained about the discrepancy, we were told that they gave us a discount. HOWEVER, it turned out, when we finally got post-move details, after repeated requests, that the 'discount' was just the difference in packing charges because we had done so much ourselves. The delivery was terrible, they didn't even check off items as they came out of the truck, so now we're having to fight Allied over the items that didn't arrive. And the delivery driver said that all the boxes we had emptied while he was delivering would be picked up by the local affiliate for free; $220 and a week later, the boxes were hauled away. The furniture damage was much worse that we've seen before, even with international moves; the packers in ***** and other 3rd world places were more careful and we had less damage than with Mee. And don't rely on their delivery schedule. Ours changed repeatedly, and we slept on an air mattress for a week after the promised delivery, waiting for the truck.

We used Allied to move us from ** to ** 22 years ago and had a great experience! With that said, Mee *********************************************** out of ************** which we clearly and carefully selected to move us from ** to ** was reprehensible! We never had a move, and we have moved long distances several times, where we ended up missing so many things, especially family heirlooms, antiques as well as many memories lost/destroyed. We took very good care of the driver and packers both monetarily and meals at each location and cannot express our extreme dissatisfaction and disappointment with Mee Allied! 24 items 13 of which are gone, stolen, given away or tossed. The remaining were severely damaged. Antique shaker table, gone! Antique extra large wing back chair which was a matching set, gone! Side rails to and antique queen **** gone! Tools, gone! To name a few! Our contents were moved into a storage unit, mistake because this is an easy out for a company to take no responsibility, knowing the client will not access their belongings for some time! This move was an exorbitant amount of money and we put too much trust in Allied. We are also contacting the *************************** Our recommendation if you care about expensive and irreplaceable items, DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY!

I had used Mee moving previously with no problems at all. On that 250 mile move, the mirror in my portable bar was broken and Mee had it fixed within a week. NO other problems.I moved again two years later from Downtown ********** to **************, about 17 miles. I again purchased their insurance policy. The Mee movers were on time and packed up fairly quickly. One of the movers appeared to be new as the others gave him many directions. They had to unload the truck in the rain and tracked mud and dirt throughout the house on newly cleaned carpets. The newcomer shook out a moving blanket in the garage and threw my wall clock across the garage floor, where it broke into multiple pieces. They also damaged one of my expensive lamp shades. A glass shelf that belonged to my bar was left in the apartment I vacated, but I was able to recover it.When I made an insurance claim for the 2 damaged items, I was told that the insurance only covers $.80 a pound. I would have received roughly $12-15.00 for both items, which I NEVER did receive. I called and talked to *****, who was wonderful and helpful. She transferred me to her boss who told me that there was nothing else they could do. It cost me over $100 to repair the clock and the lampshade went into the garbage.I would not recommend them and if you do use them, pay attention to their insurance small print.
