      In March 2021 I was forced to obtain a domestic violence restraining order against my ex. After several acts of vandalism at my home, the police advised me to get a real security service. I called *** (1st Home Security) and ordered a service from salesman *********************. On May 30/21, my ex broke in when I was not there, by removing a window and window casing. Annoyed by the ringing panel alarm, he ripped the control panel out of the wall and disposed of it. Due to the rural location of the home (**********), police response time from *********** was too long to be effective. The *** system did not secure the house, so I had no choice for mine and my children's safety but to leave. I sold the house on 7/15/21 and moved into an apartment, which did not allow a security system. I have been trying for a year to work this out with ***, for a year now they have been charging me for a security system that I don't have, at a house that I don't own or live in. I have called the sales rep numerous times who assured me he had taken care of it. I've called *** Corporate numerous times and get a different response each time, but no resolution. This isn't like I just changed my mind and wanted to break a contract, I am a domestic violence victim who had to flee the home because my safety was at risk. A customer sat supervisor at *** recently told me "That's between you, ***** (ex) and god, this is just business." The *** system never worked in that house and I feel deceived by the sales rep who knew my situation and still sold me the system as something that would secure the house. He lied to me by saying he would take care of the billing and had taken care of it, which he obviously did not do. Charging someone for a service that is not being provided has to be illegal? I need BBB to help me terminate this service and get my money refunded for the payments they have been charging me for the past year while providing no service. This company is disreputable.
