    I am a small business owner and had worked with ******************************* for about 2 1/2 years. He filed my taxes for 2020 and 2021. I feel like he had a very good knowledge about my business and my finances. However, last June I started to work with a different CPA and thank goodness that I did. This CPA discovered that **** had made gross errors on my taxes. In fact, he had my adjusted gross income at almost double of what it should have been. It is difficult to go into detail as my taxes are obviously personal. However, he missed huge deductions and he also misclassified items and put them into income. I called **** and emailed him on August 5, 2022. **** did admit to some of the mistakes. Then, he recommended that adjustments be made in the upcoming 2022 tax filings. I did not take his advise and proceeded with the new accountant to have the 2021 taxes amended. I was hoping that **** would do what he said which was to "make things right". I did not hear from **** for a few months and then I called him again in early December. By that time, I had received the refund from my overpaid taxes. **** requested to get a copy of the amended return. I emailed that to him on 12/14/2022. Once again, I did not hear from **** for another month. I contacted him again on 1/10/23 and requested an update on his commitment to "make things right." Then, **** requested an amended copy of the ************** I emailed a copy to him on 1/19/22. My current CPA had spent more than 20 hours making all the corrections. **** emailed me on January 23 to tell me that he would respond at the latest by 2/3/23. I have not heard from **** since 1/23/23. This has been a very stressful, time consuming, and expensive mistake. The errors in the *** could have cost my family many $1000's in other areas as well. I trusted **** with my finances. He made major errors. Then, he did not address the errors and did not follow through on his promise to make things right. Very disappointing.
