I tried two different offices to get a veteran home loan with this company.Once, it was with a direct lender. That lender waited 7-10 days to tell me, after I was under contract, that his bank would not lend on the condo complex, even though it was VA approved. Not only that, I tried it a second time with a different lender, and found out American Pacific Mortgage did not properly cancel the VA appraisal case. The loan officer refused to help me and sent me to an admin person in the main office.I told her they are inadequately trained on VA home loan processes. She claimed they cancelled the appraisal properly, but she did not because I called the VA to ask.The VA said someone made notes in the appraisal case, which does NOT properly close it out. This delayed my next attempt by more than a week when American Pacific Mortgage took several DAYS when I had an appraisal contingency, to do the job it failed to do the first time.On another attempt, I dealt with one of their brokers. This *** told a seller agent why my last transaction failed, which was because the HOA/condo association failed to adequately insure the roof and when **** declined to insure me, the possible homeowner in that situation, the American Pacific broker tried to pressure me into using ***************** and proceeded to tell my new realtor and seller agent I had refused to use Farmers. His telling the seller agent that planted seeds of doubt in the sellers mind, which delayed THAT transaction several days, when it was only saved by the heroic efforts of my realtor. The realtor was furious that the broker blabbed to the seller agent about the uninsured roof issue. I am greatly disappointed and angry at the lack of competence or professionalism these so-called mortgage professionals showed in dealing with veteran home loans.I am FURIOUS and was told by a competent loan officer the last 45 days were wasted by ignorant b**** like these people.

I would give them zero stars if that was an option. My grandson was looking to purchase a home and because he did not have enough years of W2 income, I needed to cosign for him. I have never had to supply as much information for a mortgage as I have for this and it was only for a $120,000 home. I gave them all the usual - bank statements, investment statements, etc. I already own 3 homes ( mortgage free) and I have enough I could easily pay cash for the home, but I want my grandson to assume the mortgage. Every time I thought I had given them everything they needed, they would cone back with more requests. They wanted to know how much my *** **** were and I gave them the billing statement showing they were $190 and I told them it was per quarter but they had to call the place to confirm. Would it really have made that much difference if it was per quarter or per month?? Also, my FICO score is 820. This has been going on for over a month! We started the process 1/14 and it is now 3/12 and we still havent closed!! Steer clear of this company!
