I sought HRT options at ReNew Me at end of June '22 and started supplementation early July. I'm aware the treatment was to adjust hormone levels to a most optimal level, rather than just within normal lab ranges. The dosages prescribed were modified over a couple months. Without disclosing any protected information I will try to discuss my concerns and request for at least a partial refund of the fees to early terminate from the program. I visited my General Practitioner after having unusual headaches and feeling 'off.' After looking at the lab results of my thyroid levels from the past few months, and notating a very elevated resting pulse, my GP urgently recommended that I stop the program as I was now at a level putting me at risk for other issues. Since levels were so high they chose to taper down dosage to reduce chance of problems (which appears to be standard medical protocol). I provided an intent to terminate email, as stated in agreement (2/23/23). On Mon, 2/27, I called the clinic since I had not heard back. The patient coordinator, ********, let me know they are lenient of the termination fees (the agreement stated 3 months fee) as long as the dispensed medications were covered; they would be charging 2 months of fees. I asked for a breakdown of costs and was told they don't have a breakdown - it's a monthly fee. As they had taken a program fee the day before from my bank account I asked that the payment be the first of 2 months to be taken and she said no they would need to charge 2 additional months (after the fact noting that this was the full 3 months; almost $900). I didn't stop because I changed my mind but because my main physician made that strong health case to stop. I emailed requesting they reconsider taking a total of 3 months; this was declined. This appears to be normal practice here after reviewing complaints on sites such as Yelp. I request that one of the 3 months withdrawn be refunded based on talk with pt coordinator.
