    Complaint Regarding Tax Overcharges at Beryozka Market To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Beryozka Market, located at ************************************************ (Phone: ************), regarding an unfair and deceptive practice of overcharging consumers by applying multiple tax charges on a single transaction.On October 1, 2024, I made a purchase at this store and was shocked to discover that I had been charged tax multiple times for the same transaction. I have retained the receipt from this purchase, which clearly shows these excessive charges. As a consumer, I find this practice highly disappointing, as it feels like an attempt to unjustly profit by taking advantage of customers. This behavior is not only disrespectful but also shameful.I am attaching the receipt as evidence of this issue, and I strongly urge you to investigate this matter and take the necessary actions to prevent other consumers from falling victim to this unethical practice.     I am rejecting this response because:

    Dear BBB,

    I would like to clarify that Beryozka's explanation regarding the issue I raised is incorrect. As my receipt clearly shows, I only purchased four items, and their claim that "Tax1" represents other purchases is false. It's disappointing that they have not even issued an apology, which suggests they will continue this unfair practice of overcharging customers.

    I am requesting that the grocery store provide video footage from their security cameras, which are placed throughout the store, to confirm the items I purchased.

    Additionally, I would like to report this unfair business practice to the Franchise Tax Board, and I kindly ask for BBB's assistance in facilitating this process.
