01/28/2023 was purchase date 2009 Lexus is 250 Purchase price ******* out the door with fees and taxes included. 01/29/2023 check engine turned on and showed 3 codes. Was advised by the dealer to reset and drive it to see if it came back. 01/30/2023 drove Lexus to thunder valley casino. Drove great without a problem. On the way back as soon as I entered the freeway the check engine light started blinking. The car would not go over ***** mph. Got home and checked it with my code reader and it showed 19 codes. I opened the hood and I saw that there was leakage of coolant. The car never overheated. When I was buying the car I saw a little coolant had leaked out and *** said dont worry about it. Anything wrong with car he would fix it. He said that car never gave any problem. Went to the dealer with my Camry to talk to *** the owner and see what we can do. He said he would not give a refund or a replacement vehicle. I asked him how did this vehicle even passed the smog check with all these codes. He said he would help me get this issues fixed. He never really explained what we were signing. He never offered us the cancellation contract all. He was in hurry to leave.

My client sold a 2009 Lexus IS250 for $5,000, plus tax and transfer. Car drove great when the customer took the car on a test drive, twice. First test drive was from ************************************* to **************** to 47th to MLK Blvd to ********** to ******** and then back to shop. Second test drive was to the customers house, 12th Ave to MLK Blvd. My client smogged the car on 1/13/23.The customer sent a message saying the check engine light is on. The customer took the car to a mechanic and said it needed a thermostat. While vehicle was with my client, he did not notice any issues. My client offered to provide the customer with the part as well as signing a paper stating my client was giving the customer parts and he didnt want to sign. My client did not give the customer any parts.  Customer is unreasonable. This is a 14-year-old car and the customer had the option of having the car inspected before buying. My client explained all of the paperwork and gave the customer all of the copies.

I am rejecting this response because:this 2009 Lexus is 250 was really bought for ******* that included all taxes and fees associated with this purchase. ****** said he was going to change the purchase price so he would pay less  taxes than he had to.
my wife was with me when this purchase was being conducted. The dealer was already closed when this purchase conducted. he was in a hurry to get this done. I told the dealer to take his time and get this transaction done correctly and legally. The dealer did not explain all the details to me and my wife. There is video that he has that shows me counting the cash in front of his surveillance cameras inside the store. I have the offer up posting where it clearly states that he was selling this vehicle for ********.  How is the dealer going to take ******* for it that is ridiculous to say. Another thing is i told him that it we could start with the thermostat. He agreed to pay for the original part plus labor which was ******. I told the dealer that I wanted the original Lexus part not a aftermarket one and he said I only buy original Oem parts and nothing else. The dealer agreed to both the original part and labor. Later that day I went to get the thermostat and it was not the original part as we had talked about  He wanted me to sign a waiver that I did not agree with. I have a photo of it as well and a photo of the aftermarket part. My question is how did this vehicle pass emissions and safety inspections. I believe that this vehicle may have stolen parts as well. I will getting a full inspection by the ********** highway patrol as well. I will be getting a full inspection at the Lexus dealer as well.
I only want was is right fair out this transaction.

Here is the screenshot he sent my client showing he bought it for $5,000.

I am rejecting this response because:
I am not denying the screenshot at all. I sent him that as a joke. Here is a screenshot of the beginning and some screenshots of the actual OfferUp ad that he had posted online. Nobody in their right mind is going to drop the price by half.  He put that on the price so he would not have to pay unnoticed at the dmv. Tell him to show the video when we bought and paid for the 2009 Lexus is 250.
