  My car has not run for almost a year, but I finally got money to have the car taken to a shop to get it fixed. I took my car to Quick Stop Smog and More on March 12/2024 and told them what I know about the car and what had been replaced but the car was still not running. The owner of the shop told me they usually wouldnt work on a car that other people had started work on but didnt finish, because of how difficult it is to figure out where the work had been started and then left. The owner said that because I was a neighbor, he would get it running. The shop had my car until 3/19/24 and they called me to say it was ready. I picked the car up and drove it to my house, less than a block away and waited for traffic to dye down before driving it the 75/100 miles that the shop told me to do. The owner told me to fill the tank and put gas treatment in it and after I get the miles on it to bring it back in and they could smog it. At around 8;00pm I put 50$ in gas and 10$ for the gas treatment and headed out to *********. While on the highway the cab of the car started to fill with gas fumes. I thought it was exhaust fumes so I continued down the road. I drove my car 31 miles to my boyfriends and when I got there my gas gauge read Empty! I called the shop the next day and told them what happened and they told me to bring it back. I had to have it towed back to the shop which cost me 290.00$ I told them it leaked a whole tank of gas and they told me they would check it out. I walked to the shop on 3/21/24 and was handed a bill for 159.00$ for the new serpentine belt they put on and I told them that belt was new and didnt have anything to do with the gas leak. I left my car there for another 5 days and walked back to the shop on 3/26/24 and the owner told me they couldnt find a gas leak so they replaced the serpentine belt, but didnt have the old one and didnt take pictures, nor did they tell me what they did before doing it. They ended up charging me 20 $ for gas. Took my car. Still leaking gas.

  The customer told us that a few mechanics had been working on this car. but can't start the car. she towed the car. she has the starter in the car. We installed the starter. some removed the spark plugs and did not install them back. someone also backs up the distributor. after all, we start the car. she drove home. and called us that she ran out of gas.  we put in $20.00 gas and the car started right away. we told her that she could bring the car back. but we will charge whatever needs to be fixed.
