I went in to have my vehicle service for repair at SDS Automotive. The Service was for the repair to eliminate the service stop/StartSystem warning light that was indicated on the dash monitor. A diagnostic test was adviced to me so to calibrate the timing. Come to find that it needed a new battery with an auxiliary battery in order to complete the diagnostic. I declined their offer for the new ******************* for their quote was $902.36 for I got quoted by Napa parts for the same batteries at $343.79. So I call the service manager that I was bringing in the new battieries but stated that they are not able to install for previous experiences. So I paid the incomplete service of $227.50 and all Im asking for them is to install the new batteries as recommended by their technician. V/R ***********************

Responding to complaint ID  ******** The invoice is attached. The customer's concern is a warning message for the start/stop system. Customer was charged for a ********************** for the concern. The vehicle has two batteries (main & auxiliary) both batteries failed. An estimate was quoted for both batteries (parts & labor)  . Customer Answer

    Date: 07/20/2023

I am rejecting this response because: I was informed by SDS Automotive that the vehicle needed a new battery and an auxiliary battery for the start/stop system in order to complete the repair and was offered at their estimated cost of $902.36 including tax. I declined for I knew I could get the batteries at a more reasonable rate. So I purchased the same exact main battery

at ****** for $203.18 including tax. I also purchased the same auxiliary battery at Napa parts for $128.00 including tax the following day. I call SDS Automotive that day that I purchased

the batteries and ask if they could complete the repair service by having their mechanics installed the new batteries. Service manager **** informed me that they do not accept customers

buying their own parts. So I responded to their reply that in all fairness, I would accept a refund of half the cost of $113.75 for an incomplete service. So far SDS has not responded to

    my request.  V/R ***********************

I am assuming the car is repaired and the replacement of the batteries took care of ****'s concern. If so I do not understand why a refund/discount is being requested. **** was charged for a diagnostic and he declined the repairs. No further action needed
