  The deliver driver was very kind and courteous. The materials from one delivery to the next were DRASTICALLY different. One was actual freshly shredded bark and the next a very dark brown powder almost like silt with some straggly Scraggly bits. Its not slightly different its VERY different. Unusable and now just sitting in my driveway. They said there is nothing they can do for me. This is the kind of customer service you should expect when doing business here. Highly disappointing.

  I called this afternoon to ask about picking up a load of garden soil - I had a borrowed truck and knew it would take me 30 mins to get there, so I called to ask if they could still take care of my needs if I was arriving right at their closing time, or did they stop loading before then. The woman who answered my call assured me they would still take care of me, so we drove there. When we arrived, they had their closed sign on the door, but I knocked and asked to talk to someone, explaining what I'd been told. They didn't care, just kept repeating they were closed. I'm so frustrated.....wasted over an hour of our time and a bunch of gas. They weren't even polite. I will find somewhere else to buy my garden soil.

  They give you what you ask for at the best price. When you ask for the wrong stuff, it's not their fault. Smaller business tend to not keep things as tidy so you get some bark in your rock. I had it happen at a different smaller business when i ************ mix. Not end of the world but I never went back to ****************.

  Id give no stars if that was an option. Ive been working on my yard for 2 months getting 1 yard of shredded redwood mulch at a time as I work on small areas at a time. Ive gotten a total of 6 yards over these two months from two different mulch suppliers. its all looked identical and seamless as I add it to more areas of the same front yard. We also did the yard in this mulch 5 years ago so were already familiar with it. We selected it for its super shredded hairy consistency, its also known as Gorilla Hair, and its perfect for use in heavily sloped areas like my front yard. However, I got another yard from Hasties that was totally different. It looks nothing like the shredded redwood. Its a brighter red and not nearly as shredded. Its not hairy at all Luke ******* hair should be and always has been in every yard Ive ever purchased previously. Its got large wood chips in it. It looks more like cedar. Whatever it is, its not the same mulch. Weve had for years in my yard. It looked horrible and totally different and inconsistent with the other areas Id already done. I cant even use it. Its literally the wrong mulch. But Hasties refuses to acknowledge its not shredded redwood and refuses to refund it. I went to *********** and without telling them the situation I just showed them the two mulches I had and asked them to identify them and they said without hesitation one is redwood and one is cedar. I also asked my landscaper and he said hed not have even purchased the batch in question if someone told him it was shredded redwood. Needless to say Ill never use this place again they are shady liars.

  We are very sorry to hear you are unhappy with your shredded redwood.  It is our companies goal to provide quality products and outstanding customer service to all of our customers.  Because you are not happy we will absolutely refund your money in full.  We do hope you realize that we did not intentionally mislead you or sell you a bad bark.  Natural material is always challenging because the color and consistency changes with each batch.  No two trees are alike and although they will be similar they will not "match".  Bark has been especially difficult this year because of all the terrible wild fires our state endured last year.  Overall supply has decreased in a significant way.  Ultimately, we respect your feelings and understand if you do not wish to order with us again.  We are sincerely sorry for your disappointment and frustration with us and the product.  For future orders, wherever you may place them, we highly recommend ordering all that you will need at one time.  This is the only way to guarantee that material is the same.  If you accept our apology and refund, and do wish to order with us again, we will gladly offer our commercial pricing to you as a sign of appreciation for the second chance.  Take care.
