      Ill start the good with ******* who was the salesperson thar I purchased the door through in January. The agreed installation date would take up to 3 months. Two days before the install date, in mid-April, there wasnt any reconfirmation. So a call to their customer ********************** I learned the door wasnt even ready yet! But was told it would be ready the following week. Then the installer came out and realized the manufacturer had built the wrong door!! **** (the installer who works out of **********) said he would be back within the next month and I would be first on his list to complete the job. As the revised date, in mid-May (3rd date change by now) approached, their dispatch called and put the installation off by another week. I had a trip planned and could not change so was told it would be June. After another call to a manager who said he would make sure the door would be installed on the revised date they came out a week later while I was out of country. Fortunately I had a family member at the house then and the security door was finally installed - four months after the initial meeting. From the pictures **** sent to me after he installed the door it looked great. But now they wanted payment of the balance I owed (they take 50% upfront as a deposit which is non-refundable by the way). I told them I wasnt going to pay them from an unsecured site I was at and would pay them as soon as I returned - which I did. All in all, the door looks great and Im very satisfied with the work **** did. I appreciate the effort ******* made to get the door installed. BUT, their customer ********************** is absolutely terrible. They dont answer calls back in a timely manner and their lack of good communications is the worse I have encountered with any contractor that I have worked with.The 4 rating is for the door and the installer. Otherwise I would rate *** Defenders a 1 for lousy communications and a lack of urgency to help the customer.

      Paid 1/2 down, a lot of money! Sales agent quit, no contact from company about install which is months late.
