I just lost everything I wrote, so I will try and be more brief in case that happens again.I had signed up for a membership, $160, and the March 2020 CSHA Convention, $215. I emailed ******************************* and *************************. I was told "No" about membership credit. I never got any type of reimbursement of ******************** Unit (CEU) credit for the 2020 convention. ******* had written that emails were sent out in May of 2020 that *** have offered some kind of credit and reimbursement, I never received them. They *** have gone into junk mail. May 2020 was one of the busiest months on record for the school year. We had to all of the sudden hold so many meetings. I had sent a trackable letter asking for some CEU credit and not even necessarily money credit after an additional email went nowhere. The reason why I signed up for the convention and membership has a lot to do with earning CEU's. CEU's tend to cost money. I left my cell number and hear nothing. I also wrote to ****************************** with my cell phone number attached asking about some kind of credit. I put it on my calendar later and I talked to ******* on the phone before the 2022 convention and brought up some concerns. She told me to email a CSHA address which I did. After I wrote to that address, I get an email from an attorney's office telling me to not contact CSHA again about the ********************************************************************************************************* reimbursement. For other memberships that I had, nothing was lost and I thank God for that. This is the only issue.I have emails/letters I can provide if needed.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/29/2022

This individual received the same refund offers as all others who registered for the 2020 conference that was cancelled due to the pandemic. If she was too busy to read those emails, that is unfortunate. After multiple communications with the office and being told that there was nothing more to be done, as she did not respond by the communicated deadline, the matter was referred to the **** attorney, who sent her the following email on 2/4/22:

    ***************-Chie,

I am outside counsel for ****, and I am contacting you on its behalf.

It is my understanding that you have contacted **** multiple times to request a refund and/or credit with respect to the 2020 Convention. In response, you have been informed that what you are requesting is not available, and also informed of the reasons why.

Nonetheless, you have continued to contact **** in an effort to obtain a different result. There is accordingly now a concern that your continued communications with **** staff may be in violation of Board Governing Policy 6.3, **** Member Code of Conduct. For your convenience, here is a link to the **** Board Governing Policies, Policy 6.3 can be found on page 85: https://************/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/****-Board-Governing-Policies-032621.pdf

As such, I am hereby instructing you to no longer contact **** directly regarding your efforts to seek a refund.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 09/07/2022

I am rejecting this response because:

When the pandemic struck and life as we know it changed in March of 2020, many of us were in various stages of anxiety, some of us getting sick, some knowing people who became sick and died, etc.  That *** was the busiest *** of my entire career.  One of the emails that I had received from CSHA said that I did not respond to emails sent in *** making me ineligible for a refund.  That was only about two months *************** shut down and the convention got cancelled, too.  That is not a reasonable amount of time even.  ***be they had gone to junk mail?  There were other ways to make contact me, address and phone.  They might have even just sent me at least a partial refund and/or credit information on ******************** Credit (CEU's) hours

I received credit for theater tickets, a gym membership, and other credits during the pandemic.  I thought that CSHA would give some kind of credit or partial refund.   As having been a CSHA active dues paying member, I do not feel heard and validated.  I had never received any kind of reasonable notice as to WHY CSHA was able to just pocket $160 membership and $215 for the convention.  Typically, people sign up for a convention to get ******************** Credit  (CEUs) hours, not to make a forced donation.  Getting an email from an attorney especially when I sent a letter that the pandemic year has been fraught with difficulty that was left unanswered felt like a punch in the gut from an organization that is supposed to be supportive of their members.  I did not get answers and feel heard.  Also, it seemed like a form of bullying as if they can bully me into submission as a means to keep my money and not give me any form of credit.

This is not right from any upstanding organization.
