      PLEASE NOTE: A few moments ago, I previously submitted this complaint under the wrong company on BBB accidentally. This complaint is intended for OPORTUN I had a loan with OPORTUN that has been paid off since 9/26/23. I was making monthly payments until I paid off my account's remaining balance as of September 26, 2023 (I have attached a Screenshot showing that payment and that the remaining balance at that time was showing $0). There has been positive reporting on the account ever since and showing the payments "on time", but it was curious that the account remained "open", so I disputed this with Transunion on March 15th so that it would be shown as fully paid and closed. However, for some reason this compelled Oportun to ERRONEOUSLY report that I had not made a payment since September 2023, even though there is a $0 balance and as you can see from the Transunion screenshot, they for some reason updated the account to reflect "late payments" and that it was over 120+ past due!!?? Making it seem like I had not make a payment in 6 months?!? I took a HUGE hit on my credit RIGHT before we were applying to buy a home. I called Oportun and the lady opened a "report" #CEC0089730 and was told that I was assessed "late fees" on my account that "were never paid" even though my account STILL currently shows a zero balance AND I had never been informed about this supposed remaining balance in away way. And trust me, they used to always to text me before a payment was due and ESPECIALLY the time a payment went past due but nothing since 9/28! Why would it have never been communicated to me via mail, email, text?? We never logged back into the account because to our understanding, and even reflected by the positive reporting we received, it was FULLY PAID. This is unthinkable that a company can do this! PLEASE REMOVE THE NEGATIVE reporting right away. This is going to be devastating to our family, and our next move will be to contact our attorney because this is unconscionable!

      I recently discovered that I am a victim of identity theft. While reviewing my credit report, I noticed an account that was opened in my name without my knowledge or consent. I immediately contacted the creditor to request proof of my authorization for this account. However, I have yet to receive any documentation or evidence from the creditor that verifies I initiated or authorized the opening of this account. Given the lack of evidence provided by the creditor, it is clear that this account does not belong to me and has been opened fraudulently using my personal information.       I had an account with this company since 2017 where it helped organize my savings. On March 11, 2024 I decided to officially close my entire account with them. I had 12 different folders with them that were each titled differently and had different amounts of money in each one to save for particular situations. When I closed the account only 9 out of the 12 folders were returned to me. So I never received a total of $807.66 from the three folders that never made it to my account. I reached out to their company and they emailed saying that the rest of the money was delayed and was still pending but I would have it no later than March 18, 2024. I still have not received that money but also as I was having constant communication with one of their representatives via email they just stopped responding. I have pictures of all the folders I created in my account, my bank out account showing that I received only 9 of 12 of these folders and emails from Oportun stating specifically the 3 folders and the amount of each folder would be returned to me by March 18th. I am trying to get the $807.66 reimbursed to me. I would like to add that the reason I decided to close my account with them was because they withdrew over $700 from my girlfriends *** she had set up with them and has also not received her money. If this business is going to continue to steal from their customers it is essential that action be taken not only for me but for everyone who might be experiencing this. I started using this company to help me manage my money and now they are stealing from me.

      I noticed my *** ****** in my Opportun went from around $676 to only a little over $1. I was very confused so when I clicked on my *** it said Pending Withdraw -$672.81 which I never made. I checked my bank account and the money was not there either which means they just took it out from my account and never gave it to me. I am recently disabled with zero financial help at the moment so finances are extremely tight and I have been with Digit Opportun over two years and cant believe they would take such a significant amount of money from **** have reached out several times and they just keep giving me the run around: every response promises the return within 3-5 business days, even though is has been well over the original 3-5 business days that was promised, Usually when anything is withdrawn from Oportun it only takes a few minutes to go into my account so none of this makes any sense. My girlfriend had an account as well but became untrusting when this happened so she closed her account that day. However when they returned her money, they shorted her $807.66. They are giving her the same run around as well. We are extremely upset because, between the two of us, Oportun has taken $1480.47 from our accounts. Anytime we email them they respond with a different person which feels unprofessional and disheartening. There is no phone number to reach them at as well. This money is extremely valuable at this time of our lives. I appreciate you guys being willing to help me receive my money. My girlfriend (**************************************) will be filing a claim as well. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

      They closed out the investment accounts.On March 7, 2024 they closed it and told me they were returning the money.They have no phone customer service number and when you email support they send the same form answer.They have mishandled my money

      August 15, 2023. To March 15, 2024 I've contacted them by phone told to email and have got no response. I have gave information and asked why I'm being charged. 8 charges for $5.00 . I asked what it is and they can not tell me a platform.
