I enrolled 7 year old son to music and theatre troupe for drama classes and stage performance of ******** But during stage rehearsal we found out that we were cheated and our kid was behind tall kids not visible at all. Upon asking the owners, she said, your kid didnt want to do anything so we made him stand at the back. My son later revealed that the owner gave them few lines and dancing act but took it from him and made him do nothing. They charged me around 850 bucks in total for classes . Concerns are as follows: Lack of Communication: We were never informed about the roles our child would be playing in the ******* ***** This represents a significant communication issue.Visibility and Encouragement: What we observed at the rehearsal today was very concerning. Our child was not visible to the audience. When we inquired, she mentioned that he was not capable or interested in dancing and, therefore, were given the role of just standing. This should have been communicated to us earlier, so we could have taken steps to motivate him and encourage practice at home. A good teacher should encourage children and communicate with parents to take necessary actions, not simply make them hold props where they cannot be seen. After discussing this with the child, he revealed that he was initially dancing but were later told to just stand. This is highly demotivating for any high-achieving child.Refund Issue: When we repeatedly requested a refund, owner (********* *****)stated that ******* is an advanced-level ***** Why were our kid was admitted if he was the beginner. Owner could have informed us within a month if they he was not ready, and we would have withdrawn them. Instead, it seems profit was prioritized over our childs. When owner judged our kid after a month to be underperforming for this advance show, she could have communicated to us instead of continuing and/or changing their roles.
