      On December 4 2022 I placed an order through this companys website for 9 candles, 12 gold charger plates ($35), and 12 red charger plates ($35). The order was delivered on December 8. Upon opening the boxes, all the candles were great and I am very happy with those. The charger plates, however, were all damaged. The gold charger plates were in terrible shape with most having major flaws. The red charger plates were not as bad but all had minor flaws such as paint chips, scuffs/scratches, random lines. I emailed the company and asked if I could return the items since they were damaged and if they would consider waiving the 20% restocking fee. The company responded that they believed only 4 of the gold plates were actually damaged and that the rest were simply distressed/worn as described in the website. I disagree with the claim that chargers with clear defects can be passed off as distressed when the photo of the charger plates on the companys website does not show such defects. The company ultimately offered to accept a return of the full set of gold charger plates without charging me a restocking fee, but would not extend the same offer for the red charger plates which were also damaged. They offered me ma 50% discount to keep the red plates, or I could return them and pay a 20% restocking fee. I accepted the offer to keep the plates (for now) and get a 50% discount, but as I received defective items I am requesting that the company allow me to also return the red charger plates and waive the restocking fee.
