    The sales associate at ************ in ****** ** sold me the ESet virus protection product to me and I went on and trusted him by paying $60 for a 1 year subscription. Big mistake! I was given the download instructions by the computer store. The very first instruction which was to find and select a certain code once the first screen comes up after entering a specified web address was apparently incorrect because the code was nowhere to be found. The only thing it offered was the opportunity to PURCHASE a service plan!!! I tried using the online assistant for the software but it directed me to use another url of theirs which took me back to the purchase a plan page. I will go back to ************ and attempt to get my money back. TEN thumbs down for this pathetic virus protection software company and ************ for peddling the junk.

    good luck trying to get this off of your computer when you no longer want it. We canceled the subscription and uninstalled. Then every so often we would get a pop up asking ** to resub- scribe etc... Tried to remove it from start up, nope, tried to remove it the remaining program portions using windows uninstall, nope. Finally found an Eset uninstall program... can only be run while computer is in safe mode. Got it into safe mode, was it with the rest of the Eset program files and easy to find, nope. Had to run a non-indexed search. 10 minutes later while is safe mode I could finally get rid of it. If this was back in Windows ME or 98 days I could understand but this is just underhanded way to force you to keep the program. There is no reason for the uninstall of this program to be this difficult or for the "sign up again" to be so aggressive. I am actively discouraging any friends or family from getting this just because it's so hard to get rid of.
