  On April 2, 2025, BBB requested Ecnalab, LLC to modify, substantiate or discontinue a claim made on their website (https://ecnalab.us/home) that reads:

   Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising. 
  
  BBB's Code of Advertising Section 3.1 of the Code states that the former price must be the actual price at which the advertiser has openly and actively offered the product or service for sale, for a reasonably substantial period of time, in the recent, regular course of business, honestly and in good faith and 3.2 states where the former price is genuine, the bargain being advertised is a true one.  If, on the other hand, the former price being advertised is not bona fide, the bargain being advertised is a false one.  In addition, Section 9.1 states he unqualified term “sale” may be used in advertising only if there is a significant reduction from the advertiser's usual and customary price of the products or services offered and the sale is for a limited period of time. If the sale exceeds thirty (30) days, advertisers should be prepared to substantiate that the offering is indeed a valid price reduction and has not become their regular price, 9.2 and 9.2.1 states the time limit sales must be observed. For example, products or services offered in a “one-day sale,” “three-day sale” or “this week only sale” should, as a general rule, be taken of “sale” and revert to the regular price immediately following expiration of the stated time. Lastly, Section 34 states, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.
  
  On April 15, 2025, the business responded to BBB’s request but did not substantiate the claims. As of May 12, 2025 the business has not responded to BBB's request.
