This hospice let my dad suffocate and struggle for over three days straight. Hospice started Sat Dec 9. My dad was dying on cancer that started in lungs and spread to liver. My dad could not swallow anything because how bed radiation damaged his insides. His own saliva was coming back up. Mucus buildup unbearable creating horrible struggle along with horrible noises coming out of him, snorkeling sounds. I was fishing the mucus out of my dad's mouth with my own hands and paper towel. Nurse came on Mon and Wed for maybe 45 min and she was focused on measuring sugar while not knowing how to even use the measuring kit. My dad was told if he refuses to take medication that his condition is not going to get better. We stated over and over again that he can not swallow anything and even the meds that dissolve in mouth gave him suffocating attack! But they just prescribed more pills to swallow to get his sugar regulated. Why do they focus on sugar on a human that is actively dying and and that human needs desperate help to dye in some comfort and peace?! We had no physical help whatsoever and after 72 hours of no sleep and food, family was forced to hire out of pocket caregivers. Hundreds of dollars out but my dad still was dying without a help he desperately needed. We expressed our concern and dissatisfaction to ****** the nurse. After ****** spoke to her boss *********************************, at first she said she was allowed to come to the house every day for three hours. Next day ****** called and said that the three hours will be divided by her, social worker and the chaplain to watch my dad. What is watching my dad going to do? ********* spoke to my mom and said that they don't offer 24h care or any meds subcutaneously or interveinal. So how can you be a hospice? How are they licensed and permitted to be a hospice?

************************************* only concern was if we are switching hospices. All we want is to prevent another dying human to go through this as well as their family.
