    ON 9/3/23 I WAS REFUSED SERVICE AT THE HOSTEL BECAUSE I AM A LOCAL RESIDENT. I MADE THE RESERVATION THROUGH A THIRD PARTY WEBSITE AND PAID AN $11 DEPOSIT TO HOSTELWORLD.COM. THE PERSON AT THE **** TOOK MY ********** ID AND I WAS DISCRIMINATED FOR MY NATIONALITY. THIS IS A CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE.

    I walked into hostel on 3rd in SD ********** to get checked in and a man at the front desk on June 27th ******************************************************** what I wanted. I've been proceeded to tell him that I was checking in and I gave him ID and he told me that he could not help me because based on my ID he concluded that I was a an American and a local and that they don't cater to people like me specifically. I was discriminated against for my national origin and for my color based on how he was treating me, it is fair to say that he does not like black people and when I attempted to grab my stuff he walked over and shouted at me what was I doing as I proceeded to tell him but I had dropped off my stuff earlier. He told me to hurry up and get out because he has to Lock the doors and do a round

    In response to ***************************** whole complaint.  I checked with this staff member that dealt with her.  He stated that after he noticed that she had a local identification, he informed her that we do not accept folks within surrounding areas to our hostel, & it's noted on our website.  Information to you, & we have a clear "refuse service" sign when dealing with circumstances that we do not accept. 

    In terms of
     a disgusting attitude, discrimination on one's national origin & one's skin color, treating **************, etc., my staff member stated that he did not have to experience any of it because mainly he was to inform her that we could not accept her due to her having been from *********, according to our rules & regulations.
