Sent me a bill for $1000 and their tech never even turned a wrench or provided a part but he wrote a pretty report. My General Contractor did all the actual troubleshooting. I called Powers Plumbing because ***** said they were a preferred vendor. Before they arrived I called to request an experienced plumber bc we had already replaced the mixer and faucet and still couldn't get hot water out of our new construction shower. When they sent an email saying they were sending a guy with 5yrs experience, I called again with my concerns. I asked if he was trained on ***** products and they said "not specifically" but that their parts guy would be on stand-by to mentor him. I said I didn't want to pay to "train" their guy on what was a complex plumbing issue. After an hour, they said it was the shower pin. So my GC, who disagreed, went to ********** and got the part. We were suspicious, so we asked the tech to stay. After the part was installed, the shower still didn't work. I then asked him to leave. Plumber's then sent a service proposal to replace the mixer...again... They then sent an invoice for $1000 - for the plumbers time and effort. After I balked at paying the $1000 bill, they sent me a bill for $650 and a lien filing and refused to call me back. The owner, **** *****, of Lancetown Industries had his dispatcher, *****, spam me with dozens of texts and emails. All of this over a span of a few days. So I sent an email saying I would pay for an hour just to stop the harassment. In case you were curious, it turns out it was a tubing issue in the attic. A place the plumber said he was too big to fit but myself and my GC had no problems getting to.

Wed like to clarify that our plumber, ( our parts manager with over 25 years of Delta experience was on the phone) was onsite for over 5 hours diagnosing your non-standard installation involving SharkBite fittings inside a sealed wall. With your approvalrecorded on a verified linewe tested multiple cartridges, replaced a faulty O-ring, contacted Delta tech support, and even installed an alternative valve at your request. You and your contractor were informed at each step, and although extensive diagnostic work was completed, we only billed for 1 hour. Our invoices are transparent, and we do not charge for estimates. The claim of fraud is not only falseits been resolved with an offer for a full refund already issued and accepted. Powers Plumbing has served ********* for over 100 years, with 400+ five-star ****** reviews and Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite honors every year since 2017. We stand behind our integrity and service.
If youd like to discuss this further, feel free to reach out directly as we mentioned to your 1 star review on Yelp.

On January 14, 2023 I contacted Powers Plumbing to repair a leak at *******************************************************. On Jan 16, *********************** went to repair the leak and stated that he had tested repair and there were no more leaks. Several days later, tenant reported that there was still a leak. On Jan 23, **** went out again to repair leak and stated that he tested for leaks and found none. Additionally, appointment was for 12 noon and he invoiced for 4 hours but 1.5 hours were billed as labor after hours which should not have applied as he should have finished at 4 p.m. Several days later, tenant reported that there was still a leak. On Feb 1, **** went out again for more repairs but again, several days later tenant reported leak. I complained to ***************************** and asked why after three visits, **** had still not been repaired. He promised to send a different tech. On Feb 23, *********************** went to unit and reported that leak was coming from a different place than any of the places that had been repaired by ****. On Mar 2, ***** went to unit to repair leak. In light of the above and major inconvenience to tenant that five different visits caused to fix a leak, I subtracted the labor amounts paid for *********************** ($1,567.50) from the final invoice and sent remaining balance of $562.50 with attached letter of explanation. Powers Plumbing accepted payment but was only willing to give partial credit and has been invoicing me for balance of $895.99. I offered to split the difference and pay $448.00 to close out account. They refused to make the billing adjustment. Since they never fixed the leak I originally hired them to, I believe my offer is fair. Attached are letter of explanation and all invoices. My desired resolution is to pay $448.00 to close out account.
