On February 4th 2024 I signed up for a music production course under the assumption an artist named Hyperbits (Serik) would be engaged in teaching the course material. As I progressed through the early course material(s), The instructor in which I believed I was paying money for was practically no where to be found. Each week there are modules, then homework to submit. Hyperbits was in no way a part of these interactions, instead I found myself working with unknown representatives of the company named Will and ***. I came to the realization this is not a institution I wanted to proceed with. Hyperbits refund policy states, from their website: 5.1 General Refund Policy Hyperbits Masterclass: 14-day 100% money-back guarantee with proof of completed homework, quizzes, and action items from Modules 1 and 2.I completed modules 1-3, and also submitted the "homework" for these as required.Weeks 2 & 3 homework had issues with being received. The time elapsed between module completion and homework feedback was far longer than could be reasonably expected by a competent institution. March 4th, 2024 I received an email stating my payment did not process, which is true as I shut down my card from being credited by the company (Hyperbits). this is because at this point I decided it would be better to cut my losses due to the 14 day money back policy. 12/12/24, $750 was withdrawn from my account by **********************. This resulted in a scathing email sent to them requesting the $750 be refunded. They have declined, referring back to their "contract". I state that Hyperbits breached contract by not fully disclosing whom would be teaching their courses, along with technology and or human error issues that created large gaps between competed modules, and homework feedback. I was willing to eat the $2k for my own negligence in interacting with a poorly run company, however continued debits and threats of credit collections is not going to be tolerated.

    Hi *****,

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the Hyperbits Masterclass. We value feedback, as it helps us improve and grow. Id like to address your concerns for both you and anyone reviewing this.

At Hyperbits, we provide a world-class music production education through a collaborative teaching model. This includes me, Serik (Hyperbits), developing the curriculum, leading select live sessions, and contributing to course materials, while our instructorsZach, ****, and Willprovide support and guidance. This structure is outlined during enrollment, but I regret any misunderstanding about my level of direct involvement.

I personally reached out several times to offer support and guidance, including one-on-one calls, but you declined these offers and chose to disengage from the program.

Our 14-day money-back guarantee requires submission of completed homework and action items for Modules 1 and 2 within the refund period. Our records show your submissions for Modules 2 and 3 were outside this window.

Additionally, the payment plan you agreed to is not a subscription but a way to make the course more affordable through installments. The December 12, 2024, payment was part of this plan and not an unauthorized charge.

Ive dedicated my life to this program and helping producers achieve their goals. Over ***** students have completed the Masterclass, and weve never received accusations of unfairness. I would never intentionally do anything detrimental to our customers, and I deeply regret this perception.

While refund policies can feel restrictive, they are in place to ensure fairness for all participants and to support the team of professionals who deliver this program.

If you have documentation showing your submissions met the refund requirements or clarifying errors outside your control, we are happy to review your case. Please contact us at *********************************************************.

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify.

    Best regards,
    Serik

I have not been active in your program for the better part of 8 months and am even blocked from accessing it. $2000+ paid for taking 3 modules of your course should prove to be more than sufficient payment for this service. All future payments and processes should cease going forward. If not, the next actions will be taken as necessary.

    Dear ****** **** ******* & Better Business Bureau,

Thank you for bringing ***** Cooksons concerns to my attention. I appreciate the opportunity to further address this matter and provide clarification.

Our programs terms and conditions, which ***** agreed to upon enrollment, specify that payment plans are a commitment to the full cost of the course, not a pay-as-you-go subscription. This policy ensures we can deliver the comprehensive resources, support, and expertise that our students rely on to achieve their goals, while employing a team of professional, touring music producers/artists in the process.

This program is my livelihood, and I take great care to ensure that every student receives the value they signed up for. I would never unfairly take advantage of any customer, and its disappointing to hear ***** is unhappy despite these efforts. Im also aware of disparaging comments he has made on social media, which stem from his frustration over not receiving a refund after the refund window had closed.

To resolve this matter amicably, I am happy to reinstate ****** access to the program in full, allowing him to continue where he left off and benefit from the remaining course materials, live sessions, and resources. Upholding the payment plan is consistent with the agreement he made upon enrollment and ensures fairness to all participants.

I believe this resolution reflects my commitment to fairness while adhering to the programs policies. Please let me know if additional information is required to close this matter.

Thank you for your time and support.

    Sincerely,
    ***** **********

I do not wish to participate in Hyperbits training. He has been paid handsomely for the little amount of course work taken, all that needs to happen is they stop attempting to draft my bank account and cease any other efforts to collect additional money. I further believe their operational dysfunction prohibits a refund in a 14 day window. If Hyperbits continues to carry on with this money grab I will be seeing how well his contract holds up through *** and Small Claims Court filings next.
