My first exposure to AME was Penny's podcast ("Book Marketing ***************************** Success"). I learned ( and laughed) a lot from the podcast and decided to engage with her team to see what they could do for me.Bottom Line: I've worked with Penny, **** and their team twice in the past. On both occasions, AME over-delivered, and the results more than covered my investment. They listened to what I wanted to accomplish and provided a very professional proposal. I was a little confused at first, but I took a leap of faith based on my experience with the podcast. Later, I realized that the confusion was caused by my ignorance about how books are marketed. AME helped me keep track of what they were doing for me. They created a ****** Doc that outlined my contract and the results of their work. If I wanted to know where they were on any aspect of the work, all I had to do was go to that page. They did a great job of updating the status whenever any work was completed. AME did a great job for me. If you're new to book marketing or need help promoting your book, take a leap of faith and contact ************************** Megahee - author of "The Time Patriot" time travel adventure series, and a very satisfied customer.Author Marketing Experts Inc

*** worked with Author Marketing Experts on numerous releases and I find them to be professional, thoughtful and always deliver on their promises. Ive learned more about book promotion than I expected to, which you really cant put a price on, because each book Ive released has done more for my brand than the last. If someone had a negative experience Im confident it was because they dont understand the real benefits and limitations of a marketing firm, and its very likely they just werent prepared for how competitive this industry is and how much it demands. Publicity and marketing firms can help bring attention to the book but in the end the book sells the book.Author Marketing Experts Inc

AUTHORS BEWARE!! DO NOT HIRE!!I really wish that I had read these reviews before I hired AME in 2022 to help me market my book, but I didn't and I'm not out almost $6000 with very little to show for it. Not just in sales, but in hype as well. I did not gain followers across social media including Goodreads where they did a lot of "work" for me. When I brought up this concern to the *** I was told that it was my fault, that the problem was me not pushing the momentum that they had built throughout the year. I have been pushing my books and doing my own marketing on top of what they were supposed to do for me and it has given me far better results across the board. Please, please do not make the mistake I did, save your money and stay away from this predatory company. You can get the same work done for less and with better companies, I promise you!Author Marketing Experts Inc

First, let me say that I was so surprised to get this notification. I had a few great calls with ******* she sounded realistic about hard this industry is. Since she references my email, Ive included it below my response as well, since I take my client relationships really seriously. This review is a result of the email exchange she mentions, but in no way did I say this was her fault. This email exchange was initiated with some bonus marketing materials I sent her, and she replied saying shed been considering getting in touch with concerns for almost a year. As I mentioned, she and I had great phone calls, she had my direct contact information, I dont understand why she would delay reaching out. ******* worked with us for 6 weeks on a platform building campaign for a new release, and though it was a very robust campaign, 6 weeks is not a long enough to generate consistent and ongoing book sales for the life of a title. Books require constant promotion and I always prep authors on what to expect and how to work on their own marketing, outside of what well be doing. Book marketing is a conversation with potential buyers, and once you stop marketing, that conversation stops. Currently there are ***** books published each day so in order to get noticed you have to keep pushing. And we always, always mention that authors have the responsibility of self-promotion. And Im always very clear that we cant guarantee book sales. If our team could turn a book into a runaway success in just 6 weeks I would do it. But thats just not how this industry works, and I have always been very candid about that with every single author that considers working with our team, and during our campaigns we provide extensive tips and recommendations for building off what our team establishes. Success is cumulative. So my email response to ******* (as youll see below) focused on digging into what shed been doing to promote the book since the campaign wrapped. I was genuinely interested because consistent marketing should have resulted in better conversions. We laid a solid foundation for future sales and reviews. Had she responded to my email I would suggested we chat again, and maybe do some complimentary coaching I would have appreciated the opportunity to speak with her directly, but now were here. Now were left to assume that her lack of response to my email, combined with this review soon after, implies she felt we were solely responsible for her success, and my suggestion that she do any marketing was offensive to her. I am an indie author, I know how hard it is to make it in this industry. Its hard to get 10 reviews, let alone hundreds. And you have to work your tail off to get 100 book sales, let alone thousands. Ive never convinced authors to work with us by saying were the only key to success, but we can be very instrumental for those who understand our role, and their own. I encourage anyone reading this to check out the Client Success page on our website. Youll see reviews from a variety of authors that talk about the very realistic ways our team has supported them. And I want to see ******* do well with her series, but she cant continue to let her investment in our early support languish. For reference, here is my response to her email: -- ******* I appreciate where you're coming from, this is an expensive industry to break into, *** and I talk a lot about that on our podcast, and I take that very seriously when authors come to me with specific goals and needs and expectations. I specifically want to address the A+ Content because what you have now is great. When we did your campaign prep we requested files, images for inspiration, etc. and many clients send us more than we can use. But we didn't receive anything from you. We would have loved to work with the high-resolution images you're using now. And it helps that your series is more fleshed out as well. I wish the collaborative effort on that piece could have been stronger. You also mentioned your writer friends have been bolstering you, but are they also very successful? Are they sharing their self-promotion tips and recommendations that help them sell books consistently? Are they coaching you on marketing? And I don't say that facetiously. If you have continually promoted your work throughout the year, building off the exposure we established, platform enhancements we focused on, and opportunities created for coverage, you should have sold more books. For example, we have many clients who do regular Kindle promotions using Goodkindles (after seeing that's a platform we use during the campaign) who get sales from those alone throughout the year. But I will say our clients who start selling consistently in the months following their campaigns with us are working extremely hard. And candidly, not all of them have covers as nice as yours! But they're creating ongoing exposure, readers respond well to their books, and they keep building reviews, and the sales follow. Not always quickly, but they follow. You are savvy and creative, and I'm sure looking back you can see that with time and effort you are capable of doing a lot of the work we do - I've never claimed to have secret strategies, I just have a dedicated team that knows the effort is cumulative, and that's what we offer, a team who knows this industry, and who can get the work done in a timely fashion to support the new release window. Our return client numbers validate that our work contributes to the big picture, authors wouldn't continue to spend money on marketing if it didn't support their brands long-term, but none of them would say working with us for 4-8 weeks per release is all they do - they do a lot on their own as well. I encourage you to stay focused on what can be done in the future, because I see firsthand that self-promotion efforts following our work pay off! *****Review fromMcCracken P

5 starsThis is about their podcast. I have been searching podcasts for over a year, and theirs is by far the most informative and helpful one out there on the issue of book marketing and publicity. I am not a customer of theirs, at least not yet. But as a listener of their podcast, I think it entitles me to put my opinion here. I have already learned so much from their podcast, I know the questions to ask any marketing person now.
