1 starBuyer Beware! Run while you can! We have owned 7 RV's in the past 20 years, and La Mesa RV is by far the WORST experience we have ever had! Horrible Delivery process and lack of care I have ever seen. Too many non-working things to list, but the worst part is the fact that I tried to get the tires replaced (they are 7 years old) and in ******* that is considered unsafe. Long story short, I discovered while getting ready for a weekend trip, the front tire having big chunks of tread missing and metal showing. Unfortuantely this was positioned where it was not noticable at delivery. Needless to say, I had to get the two front tires replaced immediately. I sent 6 pictures of the tire to the delivery manager. He kept telling me I need to send more pictures and he needed to get approval for reimbursement and said he would get back to me. He came back with telling me the approval got denied, and it could have happened after delivery. What a joke! *************************** is the guy who talked me into buying from them (was going to go to Little Dealer) and getting the run around from the staff was an experience I'd rather forget.Review fromTom P

1 starPurchased a *********************** 20L-T-L from ************* and 2 days later experienced a Check Engine Light. Notified the Sales Rep who did not consider it a big deal. Since then experienced 4 Engine Shutdowns and a roof leak, all within the first 30 days of ownership. The Van is currently sitting at a Dodge Dealer and has been there for 5 days as they continue to troubleshoot, Dealer discovered 35 stored error codes and water coming from the front windshield camera system and running down the inside of the windshield and pooling on the top of the dashboard. The Sales Rep continues to treat this as no big deal leaving it up to me to figure things out. I have repeatedly requested that a manager call me but it appears that I am being ignored and they don't want to address the issue. I emailed customer support and so far no response. I paid $90K for a Van with only ***** miles that has done nothing but breakdown and is currently "out of commission"! I am at my **** end and I have requested that La Mesa take it back!Review fromPitstop H

1 starI have been looking to buy an RV for about a year and every now and then I stop by their ********* store to see what they have in stock. I made an offer on a Winnebego Revel about a year ago but they were not willing to come down to my offer at the time, which is fine. I waited until the market came down a bit and starting looking to buy again at yearend (Dec has better deals on unsold stock before the new year stock comes in). I found a Sprinter *** I liked and asked to test drive it. They said since I hadn't bought the year prior I was "wasting their time" and they wouldn't sell to me. When I explained I couldn't afford the Revel at $180,000 but could afford the Sprinter *** now being sold at $99,000, they finally agreed to do business with me as a 'hated' customer. They said I couldn't test drive the *** unless I applied for a loan. They ran my credit, and made me sign a loan application. My credit is stellar and I'm a great customer, but they made me feel undesirable since I didn't let them pressure me into buying on the spot a year ago. They offered me tier one credit terms (800+ fico, so I again asked if I could test drive the ***. They finally agreed after I signed a offer agreeing to buy the same day. Upon driving the *** I realized the engine had major issues, as if someone added DEF to the fuel tank. The check engine light was on. I told them the engine was not functioning well. They "removed the *** from stock" and sent it to ******** for warranty repair. They said they were no longer selling the ***. I came back the next day, *** still gone. I asked to test drive a used *** on their lot. Drove great but was extra filthy as a trade-in and had not been detailed or repaired but was on their lot with a for sale sign and in their website listed as a 2022, but was a 2021. I offered contingent on them cleaning/repairing the unit. They demanded I pay a non-refundable deposit first before they clean or repair it. Their pressure to relinquish $$rights is intense!Review fromMike S.

1 starI purchased a thor scope campervan from LA mesa south. I was told this campervan was a 2023. I paid the 2023 price for the camper. Upon hooking up a code reader for troubleshooting I found out vehicle is a 2022. I bought in September of 2023 and it had **** miles on the odometer. I am keeping the van because it runs great, but I feel I paid to much for the campervan because it was used and sold as new. Buyer Beware! La Mesa South.Review fromDennis P

1 starLaMesa ** in *********** ** is totally under the table type of dealership. They sold an ** out from under me. I put down a $10,000.00 dollar deposit with them in a purchase of Class A motorcoach from LaMesa ** in ******* **. When the ** arrived from ******* I was in the hospital after an extensive Tongue Cancer surgery and they sold it to someone else and refused to return my deposit. I have been fighting with them for months. ******'s attorney sent me a letter stating that they were going to give me my deposit back or at least a part of it. I still haven't heard from them yet. I'm not giving up on this. I will continue to fight for my deposit back until it happens or until I turn the issue over to my own attorney. BUYERS BEWARE!!!Review fromNancy r

1 starWhen they finally get around to ordering parts the majority of the time the work they state has been fixed or repaired is either not done at all or the repair doesn't fix the problem.I made the mistake of buying a 2nd brand new RV for this dealership. Problems from day 1 on both rigs. Most currently my RV was dropped off on 7-17-2023....now today ( 9-1-23) still don't know the status of the work that was schedule to be completed. Phone call and emails for the most part are ignored.Even calling up the ladder to ******* and explaining my issues didn't help. They were to get back with me in a couple of days and now a week later and I had to reach back out to them. RV service ****** knew about some issues in June when I reached out to them while on a trip so we could get a jump on ordering the parts.... today I found out the parts were not ordered until August! I did go to La Mesa in person around the first of August and found my RV sitting in the parking lot unlocked ( several RV's have been stolen) and it appeared that the majority of the work had not been completed. When I inquired to the service ***** I was told my RV was being worked on. I responded I just saw it sitting in the lot and then I was told that it was just pulled into the bay a few minutes ago.Review fromTHOMAS K

1 starUnfortunately in Feb. Of this year I purchased a 2020 27' ************* from LA Mesa RV. To start out with, our salesmen and their staff, used the wrong year of our trade in when working up the deal. When I brought it to their attention they agreed and told me not to worry they would just change the year on paperwork. After adamantly disagreeing with them they agreed to give me the additional $5,000 on our trade in that in was worth. Than after paying an additional $1,500.00 I believe to go over the coach top to bottom and check the function of all the working items AC, stove, refrigerator, water heater and slide etc. I was told when I drove it off the lot it wasn't any longer their problem. Upon arriving home one hour later and going over the coach myself I found the toilet wouldn't hold water. The sewer dump cap was broken and was held on by a piece of tape and one compartment lock was not locking. After some very forceful conversation on my part the agreed to fix those items. Five months later I find my slide leaking and has been for quite some time. When I took posession I had asked them about the way the slide looked when it was closed. The bottom was protruding about 2" they told me it was fine and that was common on slide outs. I noticed some water leakage. Having totally lost faith in them I took it to another dealer to have it inspected. Come to find out that it shouldn't be that way and had been leaking for quite some time before I took possession. Hidden water damage yet to be determined and an upcoming bill fir $7,000 to fix and repair all the damage. MY OPINION GO ANY WHERE ELSE BUT LA MEASA TO BY YOUR RV.Review fromCherie D

1 starBought a new Rv from **************** They installed the sway bar wrong, ended up bending the front end and they refuse to fix it. I actually got a new swaybar and they put it back in the same place. They responded back that the will pay the labor only but I'm stuck paying for the part. The head guy in the shop says they installed it wrong too.Review fromDon M

1 starThe absolute worst experience I've ever had in purchase and service. To keep from typing a long and drawn-out letter here I will provide specifics:1) Countless trips to fix same issues and techs have never made proper fix. I've had many issues with this ** they sold me, and issues remain today after multiple visits. Techs seem to be inexperienced, and no one seems to be overseeing their work.2) Very little attention to detail when it comes to repairs. Once in a component they don't check its full operation, just what the problem might be, and then equipment fails again shortly after.3) Not truthful about fixing an awning. This is what caused me to write BBB. On a trip where the awning fell due to it falling out of the rotator cup, I placed a temporary s**** (wrong size) to just to get it the awning to retract so I could drive the ** to get it in for repair. They told me they repaired it and charged me labor. It fell again, and the same s**** I put in had fallen on the ground, and other s**** hole had no s**** in it. 4) They've tried to fix my Infotainment Center left turn signal camera being out, and also no one can hear me on phone when on bluetooth. They get it to work, but then it stops working again shortly after. Says they spoke with Riverpark. Same problems after many visits.5) I've dropped my ** off for small repairs and it takes approximately a month minimum for them to get to it (on average). There's so much more but I will leave it here. Do not by or service your ** at La Mesa RV on ********************* in *******. You will regret it.Look at the other reviews here. It tells a story that you should pay attention to.
